Feedback of the Cal Cup in Fresno.
For the players that actually participated in the games there.
I am looking primarily for feedback on FIELD CONDITIONS or other actual game conditions that might keep you from returning.
Also, would you return next year.
I watched parts of 3 games there on both #5 & #6 during the event. Some of your gals were better than some men I watched. Keep at it.
Stay healthy.

That was supposed to go the the Woman's softball section that is where I was. Oh well.
I was going to post here as well, so here it is for those who actually attended.

Besides the field being out in nowhere, they were maintained each game the ground crews watered and marked field we played. Even on the fields games played back to back in championship rounds this was continued. The outfield need some minor work, but all in all the field were alright. I wouldn't mind going back to play next year as it one of the few tourneys I don't have to travel 2 hours+ to play. But I do think to get a greater number of teams participating, it might be best to alternate north and south at various location each year so that players get a broad view of a variety of softball venues In the state, not just a certain few. Most importantly this would help divison to remain formulated for ages & bracket with no or very limited mixing of level of play.Jmho

Jef,
I only heard one negative comment about the fields from a player who also is trying to start another assn down south. I honestly think that is the reason for it. Heard many positive one while there.
As for minor work that may be needed, I doubt you can find any park that is used every day that will not require some type. The regional is used every day.
As for more teams two things come to mind: Since the TOC early in the year for LAST years Champs, there has been 14-15 T's to date that are TOC Q's that are Ring option awards. Fresno placed #6 with the number of teams that attended. Not bad for one that has not been there in 6 years.
Two, I thing it could double the number of teams if they used the split session as they do in many others.

Thanks for the comment.
