Great tournanment sites
Whether SSUSA or SPA would look into it, Joliet Illinois has a "6" field complex just off I80 or I55. They have a staff that works on the fields daily. It has a massive parking lot and is next to the stadium Joliet Catholic HS plays at. Plenty of room for many vendors. The have a USSSA event there early in the summer with top young gun teams from around the country. Might be a perfect site to bring the Midwest Nationals to: Nothing wrong with Champaign either now that they added 4 more new fields. Rudy runs a great tourney down there.

It is my understanding that the reason Champaign stopped hosting the Midwest Nationals was cost. Senior softball charges a SIGNIFICANT fee (I heard $10,000) to the city that hosts these regional tournaments. That is why it moved to Shawnee. I agree, Rudy runs a great tournament.
