Seeding for the Worlds
Looking for comments on the seeding for the World tournament. What if the number one and number two seeds were the Eastern and Western National Champs. Then they play for the US Nationals at the Worlds with the winner of that game being the one seed and the loser the number two seed with the rest of the teams falling in behind them. This would put more credence on the Eastern and Western National tournaments and maybe draw more teams to them? Kind of like the MLB All-star game gives the winner home field advantage in the World Series. Just a thought does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

sounds like a doable idea, have that game as their second seeding game,maybe......

only prol i see,is the games teams play them in the seeding rounds with no chance to be place above them,if they beat them....

As of right now the East meets the West in the second game. This year there were I think 4 or 5 teams in the West Nationals and 5 or 6 in the East in the 55 AAA bracket. What I thought was to give the teams that won those a one up in the worlds and draw more interest in the Individual National tourneys?

Nice thought, but you're trying to combine 2 tournaments into 1. Those that can afford to make the 3 tournaments to qualify for the honor of playing for the U S National & bragging rights, God bless you. The World is the World, teams from all over the country are trying to be the best team in the World. Why should anyone have an advantage over the rest of the teams. How many times have the East & West Champions won the World? Leave the 2 tournaments alone & it is really nice when we can say we beat the W/E Champions in the World. Merry Christmas to all, be safe & see you all on the field next year.

Freddie, not sure what you mean about three tournaments to get the honor of playing the East/West national game at the Worlds.
Every team in the country has the option of playing in the East or West Nationals in Aug so there is no advantage. All I was saying was to get more teams to play in those tournaments by giving a perk to get the 1 or 2 seed in the worlds. The last two years in the 55+AAA the teams that won the US National games have also won the Worlds and the Triple Grand Slam. Last year it was a Western team (Spot Bar and Grill) and this year was an Eastern team (Bay State Bombers). It was just a thought that's all.

Eastern Nationals?

Western Nationals?

US Nationals?

(How many nations are in this nation?)

Worlds?

What comes next, Intergalactic?

"The World is the World, teams from all over the country are trying to be the best team in the World" Shouldn't that be "teams from all over the world......."?

Gary, Eastern/Western Nationals ... a way to bump the entry fee up another $150. Worlds ... a way to bump the entry fee up another $250!

Damn Gary, its Christmas, give us a break!!
Why do you care what they are called, you dont play them!

Paul, why give teams that are that good an advantage right out of the box? They need to win thru the seeding and brackets like everyone else.

Jawood, so would the "US Nationals" be bumped $175?

Intergalactic could then go for an additional $250!
