| Jan. 30, 2012 Mr. Manassas 215 posts | The reason I play Softball I would like to say that it was a real pleasure to play in Tampa this past weekend. It reaffirmed my commitment to Senior Softball!!! I can't tell you how enjoyable it was to compete against some of the best players in the country. I thought that the sportsmanship was outstanding and yet it was extremely competitive without the ridiculous bantering that goes on in some levels of softball. I can't say that my team not winning every game was as enjoyable as winning would have felt but I truly had a good time.......My team will be back and hopefully we will put on a better show.....and as always Bruce .....You and your team ruined a good plan!!!! |
| Jan. 31, 2012 BruceinGa Men's 60 2453 posts | Thanks Billy, you gave me a little chuckle this morning! We felt very fortunate when we sent you and Turn Two home, especially after the whipping you gave us on Friday. I agree with your sentiments. We had a great time with good weather (except for the light rain on Friday), good fields and good balls. I don't know if you heard, in the top of the 7th in our last game with Hollis I stepped on the hand of Steve, their right fielder. I'm sure it's broken, I just hope he will heal quickly. This will probably be our last ISSA/ISF tournament. Because of their rules on not allowing at large players we will be playing only SPA and SSUSA tournaments in 2012. I know your team wasn't able to bring some of your big guns also because of the rule. Everyone is well aware that Turn Two will be back. Good luck, see you soon. |

| Jan. 31, 2012 Mr. Manassas 215 posts | Bruce....Glad to hear that you were not hurt too badly from that shot that you took at third. By the way ..Who won the tournament? |
| Jan. 31, 2012 BruceinGa Men's 60 2453 posts | PSL won the tournament. I heard that the final game with Hollis was low scoring. It's funny, Hollis is always up for playing us. I guess they got a little lackadaisical. During pool play we were up on PSL by 14 runs early but they never gave up. I think we only beat them by 2. |
| Jan. 31, 2012 birdie Men's 60 658 posts | Mr. Manassas, You guys came in last place. Who would have thunk it. You two could have done that with the Force. However that is for a discussion at BP on Thursday. I can not wait for BP. Thanks Mr. Grumpy |
