60's Team Ratings
For something to do, since we haven't played in a tournament yet and league starts in March. I did a quick review of the total number of teams currently called out for the mens 60's:
1) There are a total of 218 teams (I might have missed a few)
There are:
AA-55 TEAMS-25%
AAA-100 TEAMS-46%
MAJOR-48 TEAMS-22%
MAJOR PLUS-15 TEAMS-7%
I did the math does it mean anything, should there be a classification, Super AAA?
Gary R. Kirk, I play for the Lonestar Pickups.

There are probably only about 6-7 60 major plus teams that still play or travel to the big tourneys. Most of the teams listed DO NOT exist anymore.

SPA didn't waste much time moving us up after last weekend.

They didn't waste much time because if you check the date, they moved a lot of teams and also kept some teams at the same spot all on the same day.

Looks like they made changes on SSUSA PHOENIX and SPA DALTON winners for certain...maybe some others from FORT MYERS.

But it looks like it was all done om the same date. Probably trying to get the ratings right before the 2012 officially starts in March.

Capt Kirk:

Your count of 60's teams will probably be off by around 50. If you notice, SSUSA has a lot of teams still registered from 2007 and earlier in divisions and doing the math, you know thet aren't there anymore. Probably a lot of 2008 teams do not exist either.

Bruce,
When you keep beating up on teams they will move you up. You guys need to be playing plus anyway. Now there will be more competition.
Who did you guys beat this past week?

Ha, Ha! We beat all the teams except for Hollis. They beat us twice, both times badly. It was probably a payback since I no longer am on their team!
Tell Carson my wife and I are going to Cherokee again on the 27th-29th.

I'll be in Jax and Cocoa Beach. Cocoa Beach is different from Jax, they only have about 60 campers and plenty of demo bats, very few senior bats though.
Each camp has it's good points.
Every camper in Cocoa Beach gets a bat, bat bag and tee shirt. That makes up for 2/3 of the $300 fee.
Jax is less expensive, $100. It's a blast!!
