| March 31, 2012 surf88 Men's 65 1000 posts | Thyroid Surgery I am having my thyroid taken out this week. Anyone out there had this surgery and have any wisdom to share? The doc says I'll be good to go in 2 weeks then will have to get the daily adjusted dosage of what I need after the thyroid is gone. Appreciate quality input. Thanks, Ed |
| April 1, 2012 pitcher55 Men's 55 130 posts | hi ed. my wife had half of hers removed several years ago. mine is sill there, just doesn't work well. we both take a thyroid pill daily and it works very well. the pill you will be on makes your body do whatever the thyroid does. the surgery is easy to go thru. you'll be good as new.may the LORD bless you and give you HIS peace. sincerely, dennis & kelly wiley. |

| April 6, 2012 surf88 Men's 65 1000 posts | Had the procedure and was successful.If anyone has a need for this specific issue, Dr. Clark Walker in Denver, CO is fantastic. (303) 706-1616. Integrated Ear, Nose and Throat. I went into surgery at 4PM Tuesday, a 3 hour procedure. Wednesday at 10AM drove home 6 hours to T'ride, CO. Should be able to play ball in 2 weeks he says. Thyroid was 4 times normal size. Had a sore throat but feeling good today. Thanks for input guys. Ed Andrews |
