Gunny,
It was good to meet you and your teammates this weekend, hope to see you again
down the road.
I played with STN as C/EH this weekend, big lefty.
any way The Smokey Mtn Classic was awesome and, next year I expect alot more teams, it will become a great destination tourney for lots of teams.

We (Memphis Softball) had a great time. We took a bunch of players from different teams and went to play ball.
We looked great the first day and quit hitting the second, but had a great time.
After the rain left, the tournament ran well except the skinny ump that was an idiot. The tattoo balls were flying out of the park.
FYI, I was told if I asked for time again, that I would be ejected and the runners would be given the next base. This was a first for me. LMAO
Anyway, hopefully we will be back next year.

"runners would be given the next base"????????

So would you get credit for a sacrifice? =)

I would guess that coop was playing defense at that time.

That could be, Bruce. I was thinking he was in the box asking for it, but you could be right.

Still makes no sense, but that is a better explanation.

I was pitching at the time.
The ball came back in from the outfield on a hit and I hollered for time (like I always do and most others do)
The ump told me that I could not ask for time and if I did it again i would be thrown out of the game and the runners would be given a base. (Maybe he thinks asking for time is verbal interference)
He was an idiot on all counts. Both teams were getting a good laugh (or cry) at his calls from balls and strikes to rules.
the arch limit was 6-12 in the rules and my pitches were being called illegal at about 8 foot
When even the batter laughs at the call, all you can do is smile and throw it again. I think he was flipping a coin on each pitch to see if it was a ball or strike. (for both teams)
I can pitch to anyones strike zone, they just have to have one..lmao
