Age limits for classifications
I am wondering what everyone thinks about changing the age limits so there will be more teams in each division for tournaments. I am 52 and already looking down the road for the 55 division. There does not seem to be many 55 teams at all.
What if the associations took three divisions and made two age groups.
50-57 and 58-65?
This would make the tournaments better because they would not have to divide teams into 3 divisions making more teams in the brackets and would eliminate one prize package. Our 50/over team has many folks that are 55-60 so I know some of the older players still play down in age.
Just asking for some ideas to make things better.
IMO, the more teams in a bracket the better.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and ideas.

I think this is a good idea, I would even go for age categories every 10 years.

So your going to forget about the 66-???
It's not broke, why try to fix it? I agree before hand there are some T's with a few brackets lacking teams.
Both are not good. But a probable idea if honestly looking at the lower and upper ends of ratings groups were made and split accordingly. Those on the fence for the split might have a problem. This is where the players for the teams will have a decided place where the team will end up.n That applies to the pick up players as well.

I have talked to some of the 60s and they say that there is a big difference with the sixties and 65s
They suggest that you leave the 60,65,70,75 etc where they are.
The biggest drop off (speed, durablity, etc seems to be at 60 and above.
This is just what I have gathered talking to players.
