Reebok Melee
Just broke my first Reebok Melee with around 1900+ swings.
I got it in the 1st batch that came out and used it all last year and up to now. Sounded different in tourney on Friday but still hit well but then proceeded with small crack about halfway around barrell.
Broke out a new one Saturday and it hit well right out of wrapper but needs some breaking in to get to the same level as the one with all the swings.
I have three original Mikens with ASA stamps and it outhits all of them.

Well, I just broke one of my Melee's this weekend... it had about 150 Bp swings and about 4 tourneys about 30 to 40 swings in each.. so roughly 270 swings... next batch of bats will be about 70 bp and all game swings from then.. I ordered two more..29 and a 28 ounce!

Used mine for the first time this weekend.
I gotta say, it's the best bat I have used.

I tried Mikens, too soft for me.

I used a Combat for the last 4 years and this bat out performs the Combats by far...we will have to wait see about the durability.

hitman: That is pretty good. I didn't get that many out of mine but still love em and they have been good to me.

Hope you get that many out of your next one.

Please be aware that the Reebok balls have been discontinued. I have heard that the balls do fly so please be aware that Reebok no longer makes them.

Yes Ed, we bought all of what was left from Reebok. We still have a ton of the ASA 40 cors and a couple of the 44 synhetic. Going fast. Balls are a real good softball at a tremendous price.

Hey Mike, I got a call from Larry Thompson. He bought them for his tournament, the 40/325's. He was disappointed because too many HR's were hit out the first day. He said they flew too far. Just sharing what he said. What are you selling them for?

i bought a ultra 6 weeks ago. it was dead. i sent it back. they sent me another DEAD ultra 2. with 2 people using it, it has about 250 swings on it. It is still dead, no pop or carry at all. I used a teammates ultra 2 which was 3 years old almost and the first swing i had , it felt like a baseball jumping off the bat. Do you think miken will help me out in this matter. I have thought about getting a reebok meelee. I dont have time to take much BP. If i got it rolled, would that hurt the bat and is it considered wrong or illegal in our game. I dont play during the week, and i dont have much time at all for BP. I do want to do whats right. Any advice would be welcomed. thanks, ricky

Bat rolling is considered 'altering a bat' and can subject the bat owner (and other users) to fairly serious sanctions. For further information, refer to §3.4(7) of the Official SSUSA Rulebook at page 21.

Ricky 33 the reebok should be hot enough out of the wrapper for you! no need to roll it.. it won't take long for it to get to max flex.. FYI I went to far in BP with my two in my bag.. I will start hitting them right away in Tourneys with very minimum on the break in. maybe 50 to 70 at most.
