FORMAT NEEDS REWORKED:::someone explain to me how you can play 3 games on Saturday (Bracket Play) lose 1 and show up Sunday morning only to play a team that had already lost 2 (in the brackets), they eek out a win and you go home with 2 losses and they are still IN with 2 losses....Why can't it be 2 losses in the brackets and you go home.....been that way for the 40yrs I've been playin.

By the way: One of their losses was to us and the margin was so Large...They made us flip flop the open giving them 6 outs to catch us...go figure.

Did anybody flip-flop in the 70s and 80s? Why now?

Do the kids do it now? I have only seen it in seniors.

NSA and USSSA both use the flip flop rule. It was actually used in young ball first and the seniors are just now picking it up. As far as the three game guarantee double elimination tournament all that does is save the director a couple of round robin games but adds extra back to back games for the first couple of teams that get in the losers brackett. Corky I'll bet the team that eeked out the win with two losses din't go very far after that.

Thanks stig. I had not seen that before seniors, and don't see it in my kids games now.

Anyone know who were the winners of all the divisions. I know Indiana Legends/Campbell Tire won the 60AAA and Smiths Laminating won the 55AAA.

In regards to the flip flop rule USSSA has been using it around 10 years or so. The flip flop rule was used in the finals of the 55AAA with Smith's up by 10 after six innings. Dayton Legends came back and scored nine runs after their leadoff made an out before making the lasttwo outs.

Please explain to me,how we play 2 games Friday, and ONLY 1 game Sat.then play the winner brackets final Sunday morning. We lost the final , if we had won we had another game. Our final was done at close to 4 ,PLEASE tournament directors, think of us players who have to drive MANY miles to get home.If there aren't enough fields to help this situation.GO ELSEWHERE.It was a very nice complex, we played on.

How were the awards? Watches and ring option was the advertised promise. Were they presented.???

Was the "promise" that you would win the right to buy your own watch and/or ring, or were they actually presented?

Our team, Indiana Legends/Campbell Tire 60AAA won and we were given free watches and t-shirts, with the option of buying rings.
That's a pretty good package as far i am concerned.

Yes it was. I missed the watch part of it. All I wanted was a shade tree & a cold beer....Heard that 50 Major "Snakes/H&O got a TOC bid as did Jim & Joes 60's.

My team finished 2nd at the 65 AAA level. We received tee-shirts, 3 MVP medals and a nice plaque. We didn't go for awards. Went with the hope that it would be a great tourney. It was. Tough competition, good umps-2 per game-grounds crew keep the Lincoln Park diamonds in good shape and sportsmanship was the order of the day. Will definately return next year.

Jimjoes-gman I think your correct. I'm teammates with Mario on OKI and he can correct me if I'm wrong on this. After we beat H & O/Team Snake (btw, a real tough team!!) the gal who handed out the awards stated that both teams get direct berths to the TOC. Ours will be in 50 major plus and theirs will be 50 major.

That is correct stick. We got the Major Plus birth to the TOC and H & O got the Major birth to the TOC.

Thanks Mario. I hope we can go to the TOC. I've been once and at the least it's a break from the cold and snow of winter.
