Looking for a Team and information
I am located in Statesboro Georgia and have played ball for 33 years. I play 3 and 4 nights a week. Being a retired military member I also travel with the 116th Air Guard softball team to the guard nationals every year making 26 of the last 28 yearly tournaments. We just played in the 47th annual in St Joseph Missouri during the week of 14 Aug.. I pitch, second, first, catch and eh. In the guard tournament I play open, over 35, and over 45. I usually hit anywhere from 3rd to 6th in the lineup.

I am turning 50 in April of 2013 and I want to play tournament ball still and meet and establish new friendships. Softball has been a big part of my life since I was 16 playing church league. I have been blessed to have played on 11 National Guard championship teams competing in the open and over 35 brackets plus to many to remember local tourament championships inluding state tournaments.

Looking for information on leagues or tournaments and teams that need a player. Thanks

Ray

Ray:

I was checking senior leagues in Georgia and couldn't find any within 100 miles. What I am doing is giving you the web page of the ATLANTA METRO LEAGUE which not only has a good senior league but a very good travel team.

Might be too far for you to travel but the name I give you may be able to help you find a closer league

web site - atlantaseniorsoftball.com

contact - Howard Wilcox 678-469-1083

Hope this helps. Good luck and a special thank you for serving.

Our 60 team is based out of Moultrie with players in Augusta, Marietta, Moultrie, Albany, some from Alabama, Tennessee and NC. I don't believe there are any senior leagues in South Georgia.
As for 50 tournament teams, Jacksonville and Pensacola might be good bets.
If I were you I'd visit Jacksonville on November 2-4. SPA is holding the World Playoffs there and you can check out some of the teams.
Maybe someone from here will contact you about playing in the SSUSA, ISSA or SPA winternationals this fall/winter. You are eligible.
Good luck!
