Ardmore/ Texas Tornado
Had a good time in Ardmore even if we were the only AA team in the tourney. We played 4 good AAA 60's and a very good 65 Greyhound team. Went 0-5 and it was HOT. But Ardmore had the best outfields we have played on this year. Very nice complex and a big thanks to the Directors and field people who kept us in cold water all day. Congrats to the Okies who won the AAA. See everyone in Plano in a few weeks. Red

I'll second what Red said about the Ardmore tournament. When I reard that the SPA Great Plains Championships would be in ARDMORE, OK, I didn't have very high expectations, Boy was I surprised! This little town has as nice a softball complex as I have seen anywhere in the country. It's obvious they take a lot of pride in it.

The tournament was well run also. I hope Ridge Hooks continues to hold tournaments there.

Oreo,

Red is obviously sleeping late, playing golf, volleyball, or daytime softball, or whatever retired people do in their waking hours, so I'll chip in with what I know.

The 60AAA teams at Ardmore were: Tulsa Seniors, Okies, Da Boomers, and Teeters.

The Okies won, Teeters was second. Not sure of the order of finsh for Tulsa and Da Boomers.

Very nice park and a well-run tournament. It deserves better participation in future years.
