| Nov. 13, 2012 southernson 280 posts | OpenGate So there is a broken gate on the team's dugout and it is tough to close. It does not close all the way, and an overthrow to 3rd is mishandled and goes via the partially opened gate into the dugout. Do the runners advance? What's the call? |
| Nov. 13, 2012 Gary19 Men's 50 2609 posts | I would think, if this is brought to the umpire's attention prior to the game as it should, it would be part of the pre-game ground rules discussion and the call would be based on whatever was decided and communicated during this discussion. |

The tournament director came over and said we are not playing that rule this weekend, and everyone had to return to the base. ???? |
