Plano
I've been trying to find out where teams will be playing tomorrow, ie McKinney, Frisco or Plano. Coaches that I talked to said they would not know until managers meeting tonight. At least you should be able to get the first game info early in the week since it is RR play. Only down side of SPA Nationals a lot of down time and fields sitting empty. Get started at 8:00 and use all fields, AA's and 70's should be able to use the 280' fields with the 20 foot fences. Also who would like to cut back to 2 RR games and cut the entry fee by several bucks.

Red,

In case you read this: 50AA is playing at Heritage. 55AA is playing at McKinney. I think the 55AAA are at Frisco.

A counterpoint to your suggestion to play fewer games at a reduced cost: If you're spending the money to get to the tournament anyway (although that's not a factor for us with the SPA because we live here), how about playing MORE games. The entry fee (and each player's share of it) is small potatoes compared to travel, meals, and lodging. But you know me; I'm always looking for more games.

I think the problem is spreading the games out so much vs playing back to back in VERY HOT weather. I think the answer is don't play so many age groups or divisions at the same time. But this would mean bring in directors and umps for several weeks in a row and I assume the field rental might be a problem. I would be for playing more games if they all counted, the RR games are a waste of time and energy. But by not playing the 3 useless games and playing a true RR tourney then you get your money's worth.
