| Nov. 18, 2012 big cat7 Men's 50 87 posts | Phoenix What bat seems to be the popular choice in phoenix at the winter worlds?I still havent seen many reviews on the new ultra or twilight, some people have said that they hit them but havent gone into much detail. |

| Nov. 19, 2012 stick8 1117 posts | Just got back from Phoenix and just from what I saw at Desert West it was the Reebok and Ultra |
| Nov. 19, 2012 cal50 Men's 50 226 posts | stick, How did OKI do? |
| Nov. 19, 2012 stick8 1117 posts | Cal50, we ended up 2nd. Did you play? |
| Nov. 19, 2012 cal50 Men's 50 226 posts | No we didn't play. Was wondering how you guys and the KC Barons did. |
| Nov. 19, 2012 stick8 1117 posts | Not sure how the Barons did in the prelims but I believe they lost out in the bracket saturday night. |
| Nov. 19, 2012 cal50 Men's 50 226 posts | Thanks, I just spoke with one of the Barons players, they didn't do as well as they did in the nationals. Who beat you guys? |
| Nov. 19, 2012 stick8 1117 posts | 1-1 in the prelims beat Fangrabbers, lost to Worth 50's 4-2 in the tourney--beat Texas Players, lost to Worth 50's, beat Texas Players, beat Rated Athletics, beat Worth 50's and lost to Arizona Elite |
| Nov. 19, 2012 cal50 Men's 50 226 posts | Pretty good teams in the tournament. |
| Nov. 19, 2012 lefty# 9 4 posts | Was not a weak team there I think the only complaint at Desert West was the SUN in your eyes. Field 2 was deadly in early evening I was told .Field 4 SUCKED for leftys on sun morning I know for a fact O K I picther was a Master at putting the ball in the SUN and leaving it there F O R E V E R. bunch of nice guys looking forward to playing them again #9 Texas Players |
| Nov. 19, 2012 stick8 1117 posts | Lefty9 I played middle for OKI and I feel your pain. We experienced the same thing on dia #2 friday night. It was brutal!! Not much the batter can do when he can't see the ball. It's unfortunate because all your leftys are strong hitters. Hopefully we'll match up again down the road. |
| Nov. 19, 2012 Malo37 30 posts | The sun was the same for both teams. It didn't effect one tem more than another..... |
| Nov. 19, 2012 Webbie25 Men's 60 1803 posts | Malo-we played 2 games into that sun-one each day. Yes it was the same for both teams, but if one team was hitting well it worked as an equalizer for the team that was not hitting well. I believe any championship games (especially) in bracket play should take the sun into consideration. This is a hitters game-nobody likes to play when you dread your next at bat. |
| Nov. 20, 2012 stick8 1117 posts | Malo, it was the same for both teams no question. Texas Players had several lefites on their team and if you were looking at the mound the sun was on the left side of it. A righty could see it just fine. |
| Nov. 21, 2012 sliplayer Men's 60 70 posts | Sun was very tough and did change the game for both teams. Especially tough when it happens in a Championship situation which it did. SLi Steven Imlay |
