I'm with GT on this one. Have to root for our fellow HCSSL guys, especially since one of them (BJ) plays on our League team. Go get 'em guys!

results after day 3 ,in the 50AAA with 3 teams remaining, the Metro/Coors lite, undefeated,as expected, Carriage Homes of Ark and the Indiana Classics who will meet for third place at 8 am on Sunday moring, with the winner having to beat Metro/Coors Lite twice, a feat in its own!!!,

this is how the rest of the teams finished according to what I can tell by the brackets, 4th place Team Houston, beaten out by the Indiana Classics in 22-18 game, 5th place to Max Spice out of Rochester,NY, 6th place the Kayson Grille, who played very good againest some very good teams, 7th place to Great Lake Fusion, Ohio, 8th Mid -South Travelers, 9th Texas Legemds and 10th was Oklahoma Outlaws.

55AAA Texas Seniors went 0-2, Hitmen from NJ looked good. Tough AAA?? one team in the losers bracket Steel Dogs or something like that hit about 8 HR's in one game. Hitmen also looked boarder line Major. Who won 55AA Birmingham looked good in the games I watched. I'm not sure I like the HR's being singles after 2 in AAA no penality for sandbagging down in class for a team with a lot of power. HR limits are there for a reason, keep big knockers where they belong in Major and Plus. I would have no problem with 2 and one up but with HR's an out until the one up happens.

The winner of the 50 AAA was the Metro/Coors Lite team from Bellville/St.Louis area, they went undefeated, by beating Carriage Homes of Ark. 26-17 in the Championship game, Carriage homes put the Indiana Classics to third place by having 7 different players hitting (9) home runs, in 4 innings , even if they were mostly singles. The Indiana Classics were beaten only by Carriage and Metro Coors Lite and we were run ruled in each game, So I figure we were the top AAA team there, since both these teams were not in really in AAA class. But congrades to Metro for winning the tourney and for Carriage Homes for finishing second. We will be back next year for another run at the title. Rabbit

ps- I agree with the previous note, the two home run ,then a single does let the teams play down without a penalty,

You know,
I'm only speaking for myself but
it sounds like there was a bit of sandbagging going on
and it's not like I've never done it before
but it is what it is.
Unfair and taking advantage of a situation.

I like winning tournaments regardless of the competition because you go there to win and can't control who comes and who doesn't but,
what's worth way more
is thinking, knowing, believing you are the best team in the country at your level.

We play major plus and it should be as unlimited
as possible to get as true a test as possible to who
can really say, they are the best team in the country.
And I'll say it now that I believe KellySports is the best 50 and over major plus team in the country but I would love to play against the absolute best teams so it becomes obvious to all.

So what I'm saying is that real championships have to be waged fairly to have real significance and that means that
there can't be sandbagging and shouldn't be meaningless
restrictions at the highest levels like in number of home runs, quality of balls and bats et al.

The playing field must be meaningfully level
for there to be true manly significance
to winning a tournament, any tournament, any title
any time.

There were some VERY good teams in the 50AAA division.
Playing with Kayson's Grill, as a team we felt we did not put on out best performance but did manage to send a couple teams home from the loser brachet.
I also agree that a single after the 2 HR was allowing the major players to drop down to AAA. But that is something we fight all the time and I don't think any assoistation will ever get it right. We just come to play.
The feilds were better than average due to no rain fall for most of the summer. I think we did lose one of our outfeilders in one of the large cracks in the outfield tho.
Hope he find he way back home.
Really enjoyed the All Star game, Played with Rabbit as coach and he said he had never lost an All Star game so we just kept up the win streak for him.
BTW, I ask Rabbit where he got him name from and his wife was quick to say she would tell us, but alas we never did get a straight answer, just a little grin.
Rabbit I enjoyed playing your team, good bunch of guys,
Most of the teams were great to play against, just a few to many up the middle by the same player/players.
Weather was HOT but being from Florida it did not seem as bad as out 95 degrees. Kayson's, Looking foward to next year, we just are going to get better.

Hi Charlie, please email me or post your address and I will send you three copies of the team picture of the all-star team, so you can pass them out to the other two players and yourself , also I hope some one from the Great lakes Fuson team emails me also and I will send them there copies, the other team, Metro/Coors Lite never showed up with thier players, that was the only reason I was playing in the game to have 10 players.
