Aug. 12, 2006 batguyaz 134 posts | New type of U2 I am new here. Wanted to share some info. I play in Az, in the summer like playing on the surface of the sun. One of my hitting buddies came to pactice with a new bat that is suppose to perform like the U2. Note I love my U2. After we all took a turn, a total of 300 (12 guys) hits or so, I half to say this bat is better than the U2, better feel and seems to be far more duable. Cannot remember the name, but it is yellow and called something like the senior elite. Does anyone know the name and where we can get one...the other item was the grip...really good. The other glue was something about Rip, rip tide....not sure. Any ideas.....? |
Aug. 12, 2006 batguyaz 134 posts | JK, thanks for the call. I am told the new U2 type bat is called the 'Rip It' Elite Senior. The company is out of Fl. Theri site is ripitelite.com ....seems the bat is coming soon but can be ordered now. Not sure on that since they are closed on weekends. Note; The new bat was used for pactice for 4 days and had over a 1000 hits and I think is still going. JK said the factory guy picked it up.... |

Aug. 14, 2006 Mighty Grip Men's 55 34 posts | Rip It does not sell direct, try fastpitchsales.com ...you can order the bat there. If you would like more detailed info on the Elite Senior bat, you may call Bill at 480-241-3717.... |
Aug. 15, 2006 boston Men's 60 355 posts | I checked out the info on the rip-it-elite senior bat. It is not legal in any sanctioned assoc. So when do you get to use it? |
Aug. 15, 2006 batguyaz 134 posts | I order two of the new bats. We can use it in our senior leagues that are not ASA. I was also told that they have a ASA bat as well, which I am going to order.. The ASA is of course toned down to meet ASA and I have not hit it but going to get one anyway. I will post a review later. The bats are floating around her in Az. for testing. |
Aug. 15, 2006 Hit the gap Men's 70 154 posts | Buyer beware: What makes anyone think this bat will be sanctioned for use in any of the senior associations or many local leagues for that matter? Here is what it says on the fastpitch sales website when describing this bat: "Of course this bat is NOT legal for ASA, USSSA, ISA, or any other major association. It is strictly for use in senior rec leagues, church leagues, or any other venue where you want to hit serious bombs." You may be flushing money down the toilet buying this bat. Just my 2 cents worth. |
