You need to change the way you allow teams going up or down a class!
Instead of doing the change during the current year, make it take
effect the following year. I know that not everybody likes going up
a class, but they sure love going down and clean up on the big tournaments!
I have played in several leagues where this system worked out just fine.
If they do win everything in their class, so be it, let them have their
fun this year. There are teams that were dropped just before the big
tournaments and they either win it or come in second. This also lets the
teams work on improving their players when going up.
