| Jan. 3, 2013 cutty 39 posts | Number 2 hitter If the lead off hitter is important, what about the number two hitter. The lead off hitter is not known for power, so the guy behind him can jump start the offense by putting runs on the board with a quick blast or extra base, or keeping it going for the next batter in the order. In senior ball it is important to score early. Your thoughs. I,ve seem some great number two hitters in the game. |

| Jan. 3, 2013 rightrj1 Men's 55 165 posts | I actually think the # 2 hitter belongs to your most productive GUY, be it average, power, or bat control, he should be able to do all these things very well and consistence. He should be able to hit behind the runners, hit the gaps, and Yes J-dub hit the home run…A consistence 700+ hitter at ALL TIMES…..jmo |
| Jan. 4, 2013 B-DUB Men's 50 29 posts | The one two combination exsists in the whole line up. It is up to the players to do what ever it takes to score the maximum runs per inning. This is what it takes to win tournaments. That being said there is nothing I like more than to have leadoff on third after the second hitter! Now the pressure sits on the # 3 hitter to hit long and hard. |
