TEAMS FROM 4 STATES COMPETE IN SOUTHEAST TOURNEY

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL. – The first Southeast Championships attracted teams from four states here at the end of September.The Southeast is a new Regional Championship TOC tournament. Winners of the Southeast have been invited to the Tournament of Champion s in Polk County, Florida, in February 2011.
The games were played at the excellent Seminole County Softball Complex.
The closest finish came in the 60/65 Gold Division when the Village Merchants forced Budweiser 60s into an “IF” game by winning 20-18. In a second close contest, Budweiser came back in the “IF” game, 20-19, to win the division.
In the 50 Gold division, Morgan-Keegan completed a perfect 6-0 run for the title, beating LeMay Construction in the finals 21-11.
In the 50/55 Silver division, the Orlando Hawks also won all of their games, capping it by beating Pat’s Sports 18-11 in the championship game.
And in the 60 AA, All Star Grill Mustangs defeated the No Stars 22-12 to take the division.
In 2011, the Southeast Championships move to Aiken, South Carolina.
