JAGUARS PROWL IN 3 DIVISIONS IN NORTHEAST CHAMPIONSHIPS

CAPE MAY, N.J. – Jaguars pounced on three divisions of the Northeast Championships here in September; winning the 65 Division, the 70 AAA and the 70 AA.

In the closest contest of the Northeast Championships, the Roadhouse Blues from Pennsylvania emerged from the loser’s bracket to double-dip New York Motion and win the 55 Silver Division.

Despite forecasts of rain – and some heavy rains – every game was played on all six days of the tournament in the beautiful Southern New Jersey coastal towns of Cape May Courthouse and Avalon.

In the comeback game of the tournament, Sweet Construction scored 11 runs in the top of the seventh inning to defeat the New Jersey Hitmen 17-7 for the 55 Major title.

In the oldest division, Nami Construction of New Jersey defeated the New York Statesmen in the best-of-three series 15-13 and 5-4.

In the youngest division, Sports Center of Rhode Island won their first major tournament, defeating Renda Roads of New Jersey 20-8 in the 50 Silver Division. ENR won the 50 Majors, defeating the Softball Junkies19-14.
