CAN-SIRS ENTERS SECOND YEAR IN CRUSADE AGAINST CANCER

May 1, 2012 – Pete Davignon Can-Sirs Executive Director

The month of May signifies the first complete year of CAN-Sirs as the primary cancer awareness vehicle for the Senior Softball community.

In our second year, the program will offer a greater span nationwide and on May 19-20 we’ll have our second annual anchor tournament in Elk Grove, Calif. The Northern California CAN-Sirs tournament team will be part of that tournament and we will once again communicate the message of early detection, regular medical check-up and a healthy lifestyle.

CAN-Sir members, all previous or current cancer patients, will be available to share with any player or family member of Senior Softball one-on-one discussions of our experiences with cancer.

As we start our second season, we will continue to seek senior players to join us in forming and managing CAN-Sir teams in their areas and to become a voice to encourage our fellow players who are faced with the unknowns of this disease.

As our organization continues to grow we will need financial donations to provide uniforms, tournament fees, collateral information and those things necessary to operate a 503(c) non profit corporation. When you provide assistance, you can be assured that you are giving to an organization that you are part of as CAN-Sirs is for and by the Senior Softball community.

More information can be found at CAN-Sirs.org and we may be reached via e-mail at can-sirs@att.net. Donations may be mailed to CAN-Sirs,2485 Norte Dame Blvd. #370-180, Chico,CA95928
