PLAYER, TEAM FEES GO UP FOR 2012

Oct. 1, 2011 – Terry Hennessy CEO

Beginning on Jan. 1, 2012, both Player Registration and Team Registration fees will be increasing.

Senior Softball-USA has kept both sets of fees the same for the past several years, even though most of our costs continued to increase. We did this to help players and managers who were facing hard financial times because of the recession. We absorbed those increases through several efficiencies, but now must make moderate increases in fees to keep up with increased costs.

Player Registration fees will be raised for the first time in six years and the Team Registration fees for the first time in more than a decade.

Players and Teams registering before January 1, 2012 will be able to register at the old rates. We sent e-mail notifications in early December to all teams and players whose registrations are expiring to give them a chance to register before the rates increase.

In addition, we have raised some tournament entry fees to fund an increase in umpire pay for 2012. The umpires have received no increase for the past eight years.

Here are the increases:

Player Registration Fees (Old rates in parentheses)

1 Season: $20 ($15)

2 Seasons: $35 ($25)

3 Seasons: $45 ($35)

4 Seasons : $55 ($45)

5 Seasons : $60 ($50)

Annual "Snowbird" Card Fee: $20 ($15)

Annual Team Registration Fee: $35 ($25)
