TEAMS FROM 5 STATES BATTLE FOR ISA CHAMPIONSHIPS

COCOA BEACH, FL - The ISA Senior World Series Championship in July drew 31 teams from five states with each team seeking to become a 2011 ISA Senior World Series Champion.“The Cocoa Beach area offered a wonderful blend of sun and fun activities, good playing facilities and a group of very hardworking grounds crews for the ISA Senior World Championship,” according to Don Stratton, ISA chief executive officer. “During the tournament, games were being played on six diamonds at two separate sports complexes,” added Stratton.
According to Jerry Jackson, ISA northern regional vice president and ISA Senior World Series tournament director, “Each and every team should be congratulated for their hard work, excellent play, and dedication to this tournament. The weather was exceptional, but extremely hot. ISA appreciates all the teams being willing to face the heat head on and compete at their highest level possible.”
In addition to the more than 85 games played to determine the ISA Senior World Champions in five divisions, many great battles were fought and won on the hot and challenging clay.
In the Men’s 50 AAA Division, seven teams from Florida competed for the title. Florida Automated Shade defeated Harbortown Marina with a score of 11-9 to force the “IF” game. After a short break, Harbortown Marina run ruled Florida Automated Shade with a score of 22-0 to avenge their earlier loss and emerge the victors.
The South Florida Heat defeated Agility Physical Therapy in the 60AAA Division by a score of 11-1. The South Florida Heat outlasted four other teams to take home the trophy.
In an epic battle Pat’s Sports 65 AAA defeated Acousti 14-13 to become the 2011 ISA Senior World Series Champions.
