Diamond Skipper Dies

Well-known manager/player Pete Rendina of the Delaware Diamonds 75AAA team died April 10 at age 79.

Rendina, who saw combat in the Korean War with the 7th Marines, has been active in promoting youth and high school sports for several years. He was especially active at the Archbishop Ryan High School in Philadelphia.

Rendina also enjoyed playing, competing on Nami Construction, The Naturals, Southwest Florida Cougars and Jersey Pride.
