I can play OF, P, 1B and of course Catch.

Let me know quick.

Mario...contact me with his info:

Mike - Michael@vfwsoftball.com, or go to VFW Softball and select "Contact Us"

In the 40 Maj Plus division, he can play on any Maj+ team west of the Mississippi. The border state rule is different for the Maj+ division.

Out of the 12 or so Maj+ teams in the 40's, all but 1 are in California.

So the new Easton that is ready for release, as well as the new 2014 line of Demarini's will not be allowed for SSUSA sanctioned events?

These are major brands...will their acceptance be revisited this year or is that it for 2014?

Discussion: 40's and 50's session #3

Chief, I understand your logic...but remember that most of the 40's (men and women), some of the 50's, and god forgive those poor souls over 55 whom still have children at home...we need to coordinate down to the actual game time. My last tourney in Phoenix, we coordinated to be there on Thursday, only to find out we were not going to play a Friday morning game. We are driving distance to both Vegas and Phoenix, so if we can save money by not needing to get a room for an additional night, spending extra money on eating out, managing the children away from home for an extra night, and don't get me started on coordinating a work schedule...advanced scheduling would help immensely. I feel more for the teams who have more of a distance to travel.

I do understand that there are a large amount of teams...that's great, more and different competition. But, at least do us a solid and give us at least 1 week prior to game day to know what time and day we are playing.

Don't get me wrong...I love SSUSA and playing in these tourney's, but we pay a lot of money and would just like a little customer service.

Cutoff is 3 weeks prior to our proposed first game day. That should be plenty of time.

I feel you. I am a little disappointed also. We are now less than a week away from possible games on Friday and my guys can not commit to reservations...We don't know if we should arrive Thursday night for earlier games on Friday, or we can show up on Friday for later games. The registration cutoff was almost 20 day ago.

Discussion: 40 or over Outfielder for Vegas

We are going to Vegas on the 4th thru the 6th of October for SSUSA Senior Worlds. We have an OF with arm issues and are looking to bring another one out. You must be 40 or turn 40 this year (2013). Must be a CA, NV, or AZ resident (bordering state rule). We play in the 40 Maj + division.

We will most likely play Friday and definitely Saturday and Sunday. 5 Game guarantee, ring tourney.

If interested please email me with your first and last name and contact info.

Won't play with the screens. Our pitcher wouldn't eaither. We depend on his defense to shut down the middle. He is responsible for anywhere from 3 to 6 double plays per tourney, and numerous other outs. That is a big part of our game.

Discussion: Worth Launch 510

The orginal Launch was the best bat I ever used...so naturally after mine broke in 2008, I bout 7. I am down to 4, 2 being used 26 and 27 oz, and 2 still in the wrapper. The 27 is a re-release (still pretty hot) and the 26 is and original...been in the wrapper since 2008. My current 27 oz, has lasted about a year an a half now.

Best bat ever.

Benji...we are a new team from California. According to the new rules from SSUSA, we can only have players from California on our roster. The boardering state rule does not apply due to the size and amount of players in California.

That is a rediculous rule meant to stop teams from importing A and B rated players to stack a team. The problem is us teams that are not padding the roster get screwed by the rule.

Whats even worse is a team member that we have played with moved to Vegas for work...and now, we can not have him on our team.
