Discussion: All the hate on DBO with senior bats...how about this?

Perl,

Here is your quote

Tim

Come on bro, Greg Connell, Scott Kirby, Brian Wegman, Jeff Hall, Bubba Mac, etc. These are the absolute best softball players on the planet and they swing composite bats. You know the players models they swing are close to our senior bats. Why should guys 50, 60 and 70 swing aluminum. Makes no sense.

And yes they play with the DBO rule, but no you believe that the FREAKIN MAJOR PLUS 50's and 55's shouldn't. Please read your final sentence. REALLY

Discussion: Teams leaving SSUSA?

Of course we are shoot, what are they thinking trying make senior softball pitchers to wear mask. That's like trying to make us stop swinging senior bats. What, think about pitchers safety, no way they just want to stop guys from hitting HR's. Yeah I don't think I feel very good about hitting a pitcher in the face by accident.

Discussion: How about a discussion on ow we think dbos will effect our games? And our assumptions why.

I agree with you PattyMac, with that said then why do believe their should be a special rule Hard Hitting HR guys? You tore your achilles but you continue run and adapt to what you have. To me it's like saying we should move the bases to like 50 ft after the 5th inning since we already ran around like 5-10 times. LOL

Discussion: Why Not Have A Players Committee Of Real Players To Over See The Rules

REALLY, you guys start a new thread to whine about the HR rule changed to DBO's. The best players in the nation play with a HR Limit and DBO rules but no, us senior guys can't.
Majority when did Major Plus teams and players become the majority their were only 11 50 Major Plus teams in LV, so what 15 players per team so a whooping total of 165 players majority LOL. If 33 of those players voted to change to the new rule that would be 20%, do you really think all 165 players would vote to keep the old rule. OH yeah I keep forgetting, ME MONGO, ME HIT BALL HARD, ME LIKE TO HIT HR'S. Really is that what this is all about, what about the other players you know the so called MINORITY they might like the new rule. There has to be more to the game than hitting HR's and not worrying about a guy's safety (AKA PITCHER MASK). Not one of you guys that have whined and complained about the HR rule has talked about anything else, you know like the bases being 70ft, and maybe our middle infielders might need a stronger arm or a little bit more range, since they will most likely be playing deeper. It's just all about me, who hit ball hard. Personally I would like to play more than 4-5 inning games and for the record I really don't care which HR Rule it used, I just like to play and I truly appreciate the opportunity to play with some of the best senior players in the nation, each and everytime. I am like a like kid, I get excited to play, like when I was in Little League and the rules for made to impact all players not just the hard hitting HR guys. It was team, made up of all different types of players and their was some stragety used, you know moving runs over into scoring position, playing fundmental defense, sh*t sometimes even taking a walk to get on by earniing it. No harm intended guys just MHO.

Discussion: players please respond to rule changes

I continue to hear how you don't like or want the new HR rule but you also continue not to give up anything in return. I also hear many of you also talking about playing the game as it should and as it was when we were younger, great but if I remember we also had no courtsey runners. As I stated before many players want to contiue to hit DBO walks and 9 HR's a game but do not mention a word about running the base for themselves for 3 days over 5-8 games.

Really, I hear about how you work on your hitting to improve your abilities to be able to hit for average and power, but not one word about working on you ability to get in better shape to run faster.

Now I get it I want to HR's and as many as I want every game, but I don't won't run the bases, you know no doubles or triples. I just want to jogged down to first.

It sounds like you want to play the game will full intergity, but you seem to leave out the part of base running, which is part of the game.

Discussion: players please respond to rule changes

Please help me to understand we are upset about the new HR rule for DBO's and most of the guys that are complaining are the HR hitters right? So this rule impacts those players and that is why we don't like it correct? My questions are how many of these guys that don't like this rule actual run for themselves and if they did change the rule back but you had to run (no courtsey runners) would that be accepttable? I hear the guys saying please don't punish us because we hit the HR's and work hard to improve our skills to do so, so a what about the guys that can still run, throw and play defense being punished for the those who can't. If you going to make rule changes it should be fair for all players, JMHO

Discussion: How did SSUSA decide which Division had teams shorted to four gg?

They won't bump up a bunch of teams and half of the ones they do will break up. Why move up to division that SSUSA
doesn't care about and is treated as the stepchild. Please no offense intended.

No problem, I just think it isn't right as soon as a team wins someone starts complaining about there roster without stating there name nor any of the facts. Congrats to all the teams that won.

Supporting the move to CO, is simple just write SSUSA a check for about $8000.00. So they can recoup the profits that they can earn. SSUSA is a business and it is designed to make money, you do realize the revunes that they earn from other areas besides entry fee. Hotel lodging and a few others areas. I can honestly say I have never once played in a tournament where somebody didn't complain about something.

Discussion: Yellow Combat MM Gear vs Blue MM Gear

I have had 9 yellows and 4 or 5 blues. I likes the blues and they have performed well for me. I would say the yellow might out perform the blues a little bit and are a little bit more durable. Swing you know I am a true combat fan, my Reebok just doesn't have the same consistence (no spell check) not bad in the peformance area though Yes I guess I would have agree Yellow's are better since I currently have 5 yellows and would swing a blue before a reebok.

I believe we had made progress, if you look at the potential
Major Plus teams that are suppose to come to the HOF Tournament in Manteca, I don't think you would feel we are not being productive.

50 Major Plus
Nazzarino
North West Legends
Rated Athletics
GSC
MTC 50

This to me looks like a pretty good bracket the same amount teams as Rockin Reno and at a cost of $300 vs $550 and a it is a great complex Manteca BLD. We are only missing AZ Elite, this should be the biggest field we will have until LV.

Regarding the HOF Tournament in Manteca, how would they handle it if 7 or more teams did sign for the group 1 division?
I guess it woould be first come first served for the first 6 teams?
