steve134..Don't know the situation you encountered. But I have never been involved or seen anything that was more than a minor argument..,I'm sure there have been worse but I've never seen it..Would you care to give more details ?...

Jack...Don't let one idiot ruin all the good work you do..You didn't catch my team in Vegas..But there is only one of you and a lot of teams..Keep up the good work...

gary19 : Noted..boston: Your priorities are correct..I missed a few tourneys this year due to my granddaughters tennis tourneys..That always takes first priority...Family is always first...

boston and Gary19...To put all Seniors in the "no defense..no running " is just plain assinine..I can only speak for myself but I pride myself on defense and my ability to run..I'm 64, run 25-30 miles a week..and I always run for myself..I know several guys that I play with in Az that are the same...I agree with one thing..adding one more fielder is just a crutch and solves nothing long term...I've said before..The bats are a non issue for me..I'm not much of a power hitter so I rely on my speed and ability to hit the gaps..I just play by the rules that are there..Just my .02..

Crap..That makes me a 2 tool player..On any given day I have no idea which tools I have..But I'm pretty sure I have 2 of them..

bp3: A video would be appreciated. I also agree that from comments that it appears that Some Umps left a lot to be desired..I just did not see it at my venue...Please slow down next time...But my point is still, I will play as long as I can. There was a guy that I talked to that was playing and not Umping...He did make an interesting comment about the 1 Ump I was talking about..He said " If an Ump looks at his clicker on every pitch...Trouble is brewing" But that was an isolated incident..
It is too bad that the Umps at your venus played such a big part of the tourney..

skip..Did you play for the Silverados ?..You guys beat us 2 times and were just a great group of guys..Too bad about the bags..When you expect to get something for winning..It's not right that you received something inferior...Congrats on winning..

ballplayer3..Not saying things were perfect..Just stating the facts as I saw them where I played...Didn't see but 1 Umpire that filled the descriptions given...Don't know where you played..But it wasn't that bad where I was...My point was...I play because I can and want too,,My wiffle ball comment was just to point that out. Next time I'll type slower and use smaller words so as not to cause you any confusion...

I was also in Vegas...We had some good umps and a few not so good...But bottom line is..Umps don't win or lose a game..The team does..Each team gets it's own share of good calls and bad calls..Just play and stop whining..As far as the old rules..I'd play with a whiffle ball and rolled up newspaper if that's what was required...I use the latest bat but wouldn't care if we went back to wood bats..I just show up / play and run for myself...Just my .02

I agree. 70' bases made all the games I played much more interesting.. I still run well and although I did get thrown out on a play that I would have been safe at 65'. I still had my share of extra base hits..Just my .02

d45..What age ? I am assuming 65-69 AA..I play for a 60AA team as of now but just turned 64, which means I can play 65 next season..Currently living in Cali but will be living in Prescott Az full time as of 11/1/12..May be playing for a Prescott team but nothing has been confirmed...Let me know..
BTW: I play almost anywhere but prefer LF / LC / RC..But can play anywhere in the Inf as well..

Guys..Thanks for all the constructive points. some interesting things to ponder...For the other morons....It must be sad to have to be the way you are...Being an old guy, I tend to look at things on a more positive note. That being said, if you are going to post assinine comments, you're only wasting your time because no one really cares what you think except mommy and daddy..

Guys..Thanks for the input..Bubble Gum, my hitting is fine but I figure a person can always improve by listening...Except apparently for you. I guess you have it figured out.

Lighten up guys...0 ?..I'm not looking for an answer...Just curious..And no, all the guys on my teams don't use the same stance...Know the names..Helmer,Crine and Machenko but as most of us..We're not in the same category as they are. I'm sure as heck not..
