You know things are returning to normal now that people are complaining about scores not being posted and SSUSA justifying it. I sure have missed that. Welcome back everybody!!!! Now I just need somebody to tell me they dont play tournaments to win T-shirts and/or their garage is filled with boxes of them then I know we have conquered COVID. Good luck everyone, enjoy the game.

I am so happy that this site is turning into an umpire pissing match message board. As soon as one subject gets beaten to death, then we just start a new one. So entertaining.

I don't think he (or she) is bitching or complaining, just asking for help or guidance on a message board, which is one of the main uses of a message board. Free shirts? Travel a team (assuming they traveled in) to Phoenix, stay in hotels, buy meals, rent cars, possible air line tickets, entry fee etc etc. No such thing as a free shirt in softball. I believe he is just trying to find out about the prize his team won. What is wrong with emailing someone during the holidays and asking a question? Is there a specific timeframe for this type of email? Some folks only have time to send emails during that time of year because they are on vacation. People ask questions on this board and then get blown up for asking. It kind of defeats the purpose of the board.

The man asked a simple question and gets blown up by everyone. And Stever, you need to read the fine print, serious. Senior softball is a great value but it's not 3 bucks a year.

What you should be sorry about is that 2 'grown' men turn most of the discussions on this board into name calling and a 'who's got the biggest dick contest' until SSUSA eventually has to shut down the post and the person who asked the original question never gets their answer. I am surprised that SSUSA gives either of you as much rope as they do, especially your 'crypronite' who seems to be able to say whatever he wants with no repercusions. The whole thing is both childish and annoying.

Thank you to SSUSA for getting the scores for the Winter Worlds on line. I also want to add that even the notion that SSUSA does not get up to date on technology is because they have chosen saving lives over the need for up to date scoring is so beyond ridiculous that is makes my head hurt. I am not an accountant, but I am going to wager to say that with what tournaments cost we could probably have AEDs and some modern technology. SSUSA, thank you for a great event in Phoenix, excellent field care, approachable TD, good umping etc. Thanks AZ Old School and Colorado Thunder for some great games. Your teams are total class acts.

Yes we were at CCP also. Very well run tournament. I would also like to point out the grounds crew that prepped the fields after every game all 3 days, never saw a bad hop all weekend. Bathrooms were constantly being cleaned also.

Discussion: Jim Sherman Northwest Championships

This past weekend our team, Doerflinger 55 Major, played the event in Salem and Albany Oregon. All games started on time, were very well officiated, fields were in great shape, bathrooms were very clean and competition was excellent. And all the scores are already on line. Great job SSUSA. Going forward, to make this an even better event, tell teams in advance if they are going to spend the first 2 days in Albany so we can stay down there. That is a long commute especially with the Salem traffic and there are RV parks right by the Albany fields that we would have used if we had known earlier. Water in the dugouts would be great, especially for us older guys. One more thing, 1st place prizes should have the name of the event. We play that tourney partially because Jim Sherman was one of our own and we want to honor him. When this event was first named after him the prizes included his name. Please go back to that. No one needs to come on here and say "we dont play for shirts" or tell me how many shirts they have packed away in their garage. I dont care. If you are going to name an event after someone, then their name should be on the prizes. Thank you Senior Softball for a very well run event and following up with scores posted of all games, Colorado Scrap Iron thank you for making the long trip up here, you guys are a class act. Thank you Traschels for giving us some really hard fought games, you guys also are a class act. It was a lot of fun. Best of luck to all the rest of season. Jim Perry

At one time I found the whole Nancy Allen, Wayne, BJ thing kind of funny. Now I find it extremely annoying and immature. Same thing over and over, debating rules, name calling, questioning of knowledge, explosion and thread closed. Ridiculous. Lets go back to debating why tourneys don't have real time results. At least that made sense. Sometimes.

Discussion: Thank you to the Umpire

I also want to point out that after that ump made a terrible call in the open, our left fielder yelled in to the infield 'tell the ump' the ump interpreted that as 'kill the ump'(not a joke), the ump promptly threw him out of the game. We pleaded with him that he heard it wrong but he would have none of it. Aziz Old School players convinced the ump that they had clearly heard him say 'tell the ump'. He eventually reversed the ejection ant the game went on. You guys are a class act and thank you for doing that, we should have thanked you after the game but there was a lot going on.

Discussion: Jim Sherman Memorial in Salem

Played in the Jim Sherman this past weekend at Wallace Marine in Salem. Fields were prepped after every game, clean bathrooms and dugouts, very approachable SSUSA staff on hand, really good umpiring for the most part including 2 man crew for 'ship, excellent prize package given out and really good softball being played, with class, by teams like Wilson out of Idaho and Cornerstone out of Oregon. It was a pleasure competing against you guys. Have a great 'rest of season'. Jim Perry-Doerflinger Softball

Discussion: National championship shoe awards

Question, my team won the 55M National Championship last year during the Worlds event. We received back packs. That's it. Were shoes also part of the prize package? I am not trying to turn this into a conversation about prizes, or lack of prizes. I don't need anyone telling me that they play for the love of the game and not prizes. All I want to know is if shoes were part of the package. Thank you.

Discussion: Washington 55 Major team needs 1 player

Doerflinger Softball 55 Major out of Washington State needs 1 player. We play all the big events (Sac,Vegas,Salem etc). We have some sponsorship and also contribute ourselves. Great group of guys, no drama, lots of fun. Would prefer an outfielder. If interested call Emory 360-701-5632, or Bret 206-387-1859.

Discussion: Lost my Senior 55 players card

SSUSA office, I have lost my players card that was good through this current season. Do I have to have a replacement card issued to me or is my picture ID good enough due to me already being registered and on my teams roster? Please advise. Thank you, Jim Perry

I really find these answers frustrating. A guy asks a simple question and SSUSA has to come back with smart ass answers, threats to bump his team and then the idiotic rooster comparison. This happens all the time when customers ask SSUSA questions. This is the point of a message board, to get questions answered, to reach out to other players to get input, and God forbid, to get scores from other events. I am sure the usual SSUSA apologists will come on here and blow me up, that's fine. And you know who I am talking about, the ones that ask "why do you need to know scores from Worlds?". Just seems like simple questions/concerns deserve simple answers. I am not an anonymous poster. Jim Perry
