50 AAA
1st. Oh My
2nd. Tucson Bandits
3rd. Sluggers
4th. Kamikaze

Guys.... I play for Top Gun 50's, OH MY is a very good team we faced them in Reno and then this past Saturday night to decide who would be playing on Sunday morning. Congrats to them for taking the Worlds.... Sad part is there now moving up to the majors and we won't have a chance to redeem ourselves for letting back in the game last Saturday eve.

Great Job to all the 50 AAA teams..... we had a blast in Vegas. See you all in Phoenix next month.

Discussion: Reebok Melee Legend vs. Miken Ultra 2

Bob,
Great question….. the Melee Yellow is end loaded……. and the U2 is balanced…. the bats will swing differently….

My search was for a senior bat that would last more than a 150 - 175 hits… Which was the average life span of a U2 bat for me. I also tried the Ambush bat which is a durable bat but it took about 150 -200 hits to wake up and then I hit a lot of balls off the fence. It finally broke around 700 hits.

I have 2 yellow Melees, one for game day (about 400 hits on it) and one for BP with 200 hits. Of course My backup is the U2.

I played Palm Springs winter league last season most plays swing the yellow Melee are there. So I questioned numerous guys, why the Yellow Melee…. most guys said “great pop and durability” …. I’m 6’1”, 260 lbs play on a AAA team.

Last comment: I can hit the ball further with U2 but hit more consistent long balls with yellow Melee.

Discussion: Miken U II vs Combat Ambush

OK, out of the wrapper – not ready for game day… the bat feels good, well balanced but definitely needs a break period. I had 6 or 7 guys swing it at BP to get some break in. Sunday the bat started to wake up a bit. A couple of guys really like it on Sunday. I’m sure they will be buying one soon. For myself, I’ll make sure I have a UII on hand at all times.
Last Note: it needs about 100 or more hits then we’ll see how it compares to the UII.

Discussion: Miken U II vs Combat Ambush

Hello Gentlemen...
I've be swinging a UII for a couple of years now.... I'm thinking about purchasing the Combat Ambush to replace my UII. I'm 6'1" @ 255lbs and hit my share of hrs (1 per 6 at bats) per tournament.
Any feedback would be appreciated...
