Mr Wolf....those bats are extremely rare in that weight and if you don't like it, you can sell it on the famous web selling site....I have seen new in wrapper bat that you have go for over 350.....make your decision wisely but do NOT mess with the end cap

here is just an idea of some of the different types of bags...usually you can fit yours and a team mate or two into this type of bag....https://www.tgw.com/golf-travel-bags?gclsrc=aw.ds&&utm_source=google_PPC&utm_medium=Golf+Bags&utm_campaign=Club+Glove+Golf+Travel+Bags&utm_content=club%20glove%20travel%20bags&mkwid=scGZ7El82&pcrid=258684498624&SITE_ID=W0209&mtype=e&devicetype=c&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8bfl7_v14AIVGoTICh0n4AocEAAYASAAEgJzS_D_BwE

I have traveled with bats and golf clubs using Club Glove travel bag....also guys on our team have used their bat bags and tagged them with no problems.....as long as you keep it 50 pounds or less it is only 35-40 dollars to bring it with you under the plane with regular luggage

Discussion: DUDLEY 2019 LIGHTNING HOTW

Seems like they made a bat for the 40 yard dash and not the mile.....at $220 a pop, that is a very expensive experiment at the expense of the hitters....everyone wants performance but at the sacrifice of durability is not worth it....remember when old Dudleys lasted 1500 hits AND still performed...I guess they flew too close to the sun on this one

Bobby, it may be too late….I get upset when a warranteed bat breaks after a few hundred swings WITH a return....but who is to say these replacements will last that long????...I have the 2-piece worth wicked with well over 700 swings and it is still pristine....if it breaks now, I will say I got my money's worth...I broke a 2-piece red adidas after about 120 swings and I was upset but I knew when I replaced it, to only use it for games.....with the new Dudleys, I would be afraid to swing it and feel I would have to check it after EVERY swing...that is pretty scary for a $220 bat with zero warranty....Dudley better get it together....word spreads like wildfire and right now, it is blazing

Discussion: New Worth Wicked Pro XL Signature Series

I have close to 400 swings on my Wicked 2 piece and it still looks new.....really loosening up and smoking the ball....I don't think durability is an issue at all with this bat...some of you bigger guys may break it but us normal guys will be just fine

Discussion: Stepping out of the front of the box?

I watched some of the videos mentioned above and I saw guys with their front foot up (pre-pitch)against the front part of the box and strided 18 inches in front of the lined box to contact the ball...no call made....if the box is there , the ump has to make a call....there was no confusion on this play, it wasn't a shoe or a toe in front of the box it was a full foot and a half......as long as the rule isn't enforced, players are going to keep doing it....I know they were Major plus players and the umps seemed to give them certain leniency but this exceeded privilege

Discussion: Loudon

i can't expect a refund of hotel, food, travel, rental cars, but i would expect a refund or transfer of registration to next optional tourney.....that is fair I believe to most.....the town got their hotels rented, their food eaten and some cars rented...the malls got business and probably some extra clothing was purchased so it would seem fair for a little bit compensation but only in the form of future tourneys entry fees

Discussion: Loudon

this situation happened a few yrs ago with an October Tourney in Virginia beach....we never saw the fields and drove 12 hours and spent hundreds for hotel, travel and food PLUS registration fee of $500+.....we were told we would not get refunded our entry fee but after considerable arguing and correspondence, we got entry into next season's first SSUSA tourney in Virginia in April.....it was in 40's temperature-wise but we played at least and got some type of reimbursement.....weather is very tricky but there should be a system in place that can prevent long travel and expense if future forecasts don't look promising.....a refund or new entry into a tourney of choice should be the least of concessions offered to a team...we heard that the tourney was going to lose money on pre-made T-shirts with dates etc but there are ways around that next time, don't date your material.....otherwise, I hope we all learn something from this so it doesn't happen in the future...but it probably will...I don't envy their position

Discussion: miken Freak Black ASA maxload 2016

...to add onto Alan's comments, I hit a Miken Freak ASA with .44 balls and cracked the bat after 120 swings...sure, the ball flew but it only lasts for a short time...I would say 1 swing with a .44 ball is probably equal to 8 or 10 swings with an ASA ball in terms of durability and maybe more

Agree 100%...this also was my 4th spring camp and every time I come away with something different...Alan and the guys are so knowledgeable and there is no question they won't try to help you with the answer....new comer instructor Brad Stillwell was a great addition and gave tons of advice in all aspects of the game...Roger, Davey and Bob O'B were excellent as always.....and of course the ringleader himself, Alan Tanner is top notch....look forward to the coming season and returning for my annual pilgrimage to Vero...thanks guys....brian from syracuse

Discussion: WOULD YOU QUIT PLAYING?

no, I would quit playing ever if I didn't like the ball....it all evens out in the end...the power guys are going to hit them far and the other guys are not.....it isn't a bad thing to bring defense back into the game either....we all love to hit and if everybody gets to hit the same ball, what difference does it make....so the 350 balls go 320 and the 250 ones go 220...adjust your game and keep playing

Discussion: Is it time for Full Time Screen?

over the winter I have been involved I a lot of BP sessions and just finally got outside to play some softball.....I have come to the conclusion that a pitching screen should become a full time addition to our game....I have seen balls hit the screen, whizz by the screen and fly by the ears of slower reacting pitchers that if the ball were 6 inches to the right would have hit the pitcher right between the eyes...I know many pitchers wear masks and shin guards and other protection but it is only a matter of time before we start reading more about very serious ball/pitcher collisions....I know some old schoolers will object but it really doesn't hurt the game as bad as I thought it might.....the pitcher is safer, the hitters are smarter and the games are just as good......one amendment I would make to some rules already in place would be that the pitcher could field balls as long as he/she was behind the screen.....I know many leagues are halfway there already but in the interest of pitcher safety, I think this is a positive step in the safest direction

Discussion: New Miken Senior line for 2018

every player looks to improve his game one way or another....of course every item we use is attempted to be made better over the previous model....why else do we put model years on new vehicles, they are all the same right???...I get "sucked" into this "trap" every year when all the new bats are released...but you know what???...They ARE better....I don't hit 400 feet but if I go from 300 to 315, that may make the difference between a ball by the short stop a little faster or a gapper between the outfielders....I like Alan and he gives great information...he has never steered me, personally, in the wrong direction with equipment and I respect his opinions on equipment...I will never blame my equipment for being responsible for poor playing no matter what sport I play and I take advantage of all the best in softball, hockey and golf....that way, I know my equipment is at it's best and the rest is up to me.....I never leave the field and say, I wished I had used another bat.....Alan is just passing the information onto us and I, for one, appreciate any input to excel in my playing ability....just my opinion

Discussion: New 2018 Melee Reloaded

besides all the engineering marvels of the new bat, I must say that the bat has all the pop of all the other Melee editions...you will not be disappointed if you are used to the Melee performance plus the added end load and longer barrel than the 12 inch model...something for everyone here.....i would go to the lesser weighted bat than your normal weight....i.e 26 ounce regular user, go to a 25.5....it will feel like your regular bat swing-wise but have the added endload through the hitting zone...but that is just my opinion
