Topic: Bats
Discussion: 2 pc vrs 1 pc

Hey guys I've been playing softball since 1979.
Been playing senior softball since 2008 and I have been able to sing many 1PC. and 2PC. bats. I have noticed in every 1PC. bat the sweet spot is closer to the end of the barrel. Every 2Pc. bat the sweet spot is toward the middle of the barrel. So the sweet spot between a 1PC. and 2PC. bat is in slightly different positions. I have noticed that if someone who is used to swinging 1PC. hits the ball farther up the barrel toward end plug and someone that is used to hitting 2PC. hit the ball closer to the middle of the barrel.Because of this when people are swinging what they are not used to swinging they think the sweet spot is smaller or harder to find. Try this in BP and you will understand what I'm talking about. Something else I can say about this. During BP it is easier to move to ball on the barrel (middle or toward End plug) however in game play it is much more difficult to do this because you usually will resort back to what you are used to. I would suggest swinging a bat for several months before switching from 1PC. to 2PC. and vice verse. That is why people that are used to swinging 1PC. bats complain about handle flex. Someone who is used to swinging 2PC. never notice flex.

Discussion: Looking for a new team for next year.

RAM softball from Knoxville Tn. 50AAA team has broken up due to part of the team moving to 60's. Me and my brother are looking to play with a new team for next year. We are the twins from RAM and I can play any infield position and my brother can pitch or play 1B, C, RF. We turn 55 this December. We would be interested in playing AAA or Major. Can be contacted at tmoore1242@yahoo.com or call 865-300-1957.
