my condolences to Feliz's family and Viejitos. He was a very good player and a fierce competitor, having faced him many times. Rest in peace Feliz

Discussion: Dudley 2.0

My new balanced Dudley 2.0 arrived! We played this weekend in Tracy, Ca. and I really felt good swinging my Melee. I am looking forward to taking some hits with the Lightning and comparing it to the Melee. I'm hoping it is as good as the Adidas or better. I put my new Dudley on a food scale and it weighs exactly the same as my Melee, both 26 1/4 oz which is great. thanks a bunch for the speedy delivery Alan Tanner.

Discussion: Rocket Launcher

I've swung a Miken Ultra II 2 piece the last 2 years and I also like the Reebok Melee and of course the black Ultra II is a traditional performing favorite, but I value my buddy Mark's (War Eagles) reviews on this new Combat Rocket Launcher and ordered one from Kelly's on Monday. I requested it be shipped to my work address. I had the day off today but tracking info says it was delivered today. That is Rocket fast free shipping. I'll demo mine 4-23,24 at our next tourney in Antioch and see if I swing it all weekend or if I feel the need to go back to one of my other bats. Hoping it lives up to the hype.

hey Doerflinger pitcher, thanks and same to you and your team. You guys have a really good team, a lot of skilled hitters and great defense. It was fun despite being on the losing end. Hope to meet up again. Best of luck to you guys in 2015

hey Rich (swing for the fences) That was one hell of a game. I hoped a 5 run lead would hold up in the 7th but you guys hit the crap outta the ball and Nick served up a cookie to you and you crushed it in that 11 run open inning. We somehow pulled out a miracle inning and got the win against a powerful Warriors team. Over the years we've played you guys a few times since The Barons. We never could beat you guys, even when your team seemed a bit flat. The last time was in Lincoln and I recall you hitting a walk off HR to beat us there, your 3rd of the game. Anyways, I have to admit it felt good to break the curse. thanks for the good sportsmanship and for helping us to pick our game up a notch.

hey Jeff (8baller) now I know you, great tourney by you and your team. you guys are a good hitting club and I hope to get some payback lol! good luck thru the rest of the season

Discussion: Fields in Vegas

We played 50AAA last year at Shadow Rock. The fields are fine but the location is kind of remote. AAA got to play Big League Dreams in 2011 & 2012 and that was great. No doubt BLD is the best place to play at this tourney. SSUSA can explain why the big guys get BLD but I believe it's that there are too many AAA teams and not enough fields at BLD to accommodate. We played Desert Bloom in 2011 and my experience and review on that complex is not be positive at all but that was a long time ago. I'm hoping our team gets to play at Lorenzi or the other parks we haven't got to play on.

Discussion: Miken 2 piece knob came off.

My Miken Ultra II 2 piece bat knob came off earlier this year. I used LOCTITE 414 instant adhesive and that stuff worked great. The knob stayed on and did not come off again. The bat lasted all the way into September until the barrel cracked in Manteca. The adhesive comes in a tiny blue tube. I got mine from a friend who uses it to repair custom home window frames and shutters.

that's right, I gotta say Joe Cuneo has proven to be a great addition to our team. glad we signed him for 2012. now if only we could get everyone to the tournies, we could be formidable opponents at the next level

we were bumped from AAA to Major after 2011 Las Vegas Winter Worlds. Funny thing is we were eliminated on Saturday. I heard that the director saw our game against another California team SOCO on Saturday, we pounded them something like 42-19 & our bump up was based on that game. Ave Towing/JU won the tourney, & beat us in a close game. Again, we did not make it to Sunday. We had to play 5 games Saturday & got eliminated by a AAA team from Canada who crushed us like we crushed SOCO. we can occasionaly beat a Major or Major Plus team & but our team isn't loaded from top to bottom with Major caliber players, however the 5 run innings & home run equalizer help so if we're consistent we can hang with the big boys but it may be difficult to win tourneys.
