| Sept. 21, 2023 SSUSA Staff | Topic: Tournaments Discussion: CHAMPIONSHIP THURSDAY ISSUE @ SUNSET Site Director Donna McGuire has advised us that Sunset fields are currently unplayable due to rain accumulations overnight, with no estimate of when that circumstance might change, if at all ... We are relocating all Directors, Umpires and teams from Sunset to Shadow Rock for today's games ... Games will attempt to start on the same schedule at 7:30 ... We are calling the early-game teams first and working our way to later starters ... GAME FIELDS change to 11 = 1, 12 = 2,13 = 3 and 14 = 4 ... The MASTER PLANNING GRID has been revised and posted for today ... This is an interesting challenge for all concerned ... Good luck! |

The balls MUST HAVE the SSUSA Logo on them ... If you acquired the BADEN ball WITHOUT the SSUSA Logo, we will trade you authorized softballs for the ones you brought to Las Vegas, so long as they are in wrappers and unmarked ... Good luck! |

Fortunately, Cheyenne Park has re-opened and appears vastly improved ... Session #1 will require just two facilities on Sunday because of the 55-Major+, 55-AA and 60-Major+ divisions going final on Saturday at Arroyo Grande ... Big League Dreams will host Sunday finals for 60-Major, 55-Major and 60-AAA and Arroyo Grande will host the 55-AAA and 60-AA championships ... We will be using the newly (and completely) remodeled Cheyene Park complex in North Las Vegas to handle overflow games demand ... The affected divisions are as follows: • Men's 60-AAA will play 14 games at Cheyenne on Thursday afternoon in 3½ rounds rather than playing those games all day on Sunset Park Fields #5-6 ... Bracket games overflow is also likely ... • Men's 60-Major will play eight games at Cheyenne mid-morning rather than having those games push the Thursday schedule at Desert Breeze to 8:00 PM ... The remaining three teams will now play a double round robin into a semi-final and Championship game format on Saturday ...
