Discussion: How Many Knob Cuffs??

Are there any rules about having more than one knob cuff on a bat?

Legal?

If so, what is it?

Is there any discussion about changing knob cuff rules in the future?

Discussion: Which Batch Is It?

I am still WAITING for an answer to my question....

IF THE BATS THAT HAVE BEEN SENT OUT WEEKS AGO ARE THE FIRST BATCH BATS, THEN WHAT BAT BATCH NUMBER IS SUNCOAST ABOUT TO SEND OUT?

Discussion: Which Batch Is It?

A few weeks ago I pre-ordered the new Adidas Melee Senior Softball bat. I was told that this would be the "All IMPORTANT" First batch bat that was to be delivered late last month. At this time I have not even received an e-mail of the delivery date, because the bats are supposedly being detained by US Customs. OK, so I understand that.

BUT WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS THERE ARE GUYS THAT HAVE HAD THESE BATS (And even made videos) FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. IF THEY ARE THE "ALL IMPORTANT" FIRST BATCH BATS...

THEN WHAT BATCH IS BEING DETAINED?

2nd Batch?

3rd Batch?

Kid

I think somebody was giving you BS. Combat makes senior softball bats that are 25 ounces.

Maybe SSUSA Staff will come in this thread and set the record straight?

Just Curious

Is it possible that the Adidas Melee just a Reebok Melee with a different paint job?

How can you tell the difference?

Discussion: 2 FLEX or NOT 2 FLEX

Help!

I have read and heard that having a Stiff Bat handle is what is desired in a bat.

On the other hand...

I have read and heard a bat with lots of Flex in the handle is the way to go!
In fact some people will step on the bat handle to give it more flex.

So which is it?

Thanks for any input you may give!

Discussion: Senior Bats and Temperature

If Bat Warmers are as good as some people think....

Then why don't bat manufacturers put on there bats "Do Not Use Below 60 degrees Unless you are using a bat warmer"?

Why don't Miken, Combat, Dudley, DeMarini and all the other manufacturers make and sell bat warmers? Are they that stupid for passing up an opportunity for making more money? Or is it they know bat warmers are just a rip off?

Discussion: Release of new Miken Ultra II Black

I was at Lorenzi Park for the World Masters Tournament in Las Vegas this morning.

Talked to Rick the Kelly's bat sales rep and learned the Miken Ultra II Black does NOT have a warranty.

For some reason I was under the impression it did.

After reading about all your bat testing I have noticed you have not rated any bat as a waste of money. Why is that?

Probably Not Much...
The pitched ball will resist the bats forward swing momentum much more than the ball just setting on the tee.

Discussion: Bat physics/dynamics question

From what I have learned by using a Bat Speed Meter is Yes the balanced bat is a bit faster by about 2 to 5 MPH faster which is probably not enough speed increase to make any big difference.

I hear people using the word "Faster" but they never answer the question of "How much faster?"

Discussion: Sore Toes

I can now report that I HAVE NOT experienced any sore toes lately.
So it seems that tieing my shoe laces as shown in the video has solved my problem. Or at least relieved the problem a great deal.

k man
Thank you for your information and help.

PS
My toes also want to thank you!

Discussion: Sore Toes

Today I played ball with my shoes laced as seen in the video. They were my Reebok running shoes. I can report that my toes did not get sore.

On Thursday I will try wearing my Boombah shoes laced as in the video and see what happens to my toes.
