So is overlapping the tape on each wrap around considered to be a double wrap of tape?

If dumbname36 is as tough as he acts on this thread.

Then why is he wasting his time playing Slow-Pitch Senior Softball with all these "Sissy Sun Rules"?

Discussion: Bat Knob

I have the "New" Black Cat.
And thank you for the info!

I was told the bat sounds that way because it's a two piece and that the sound is actually from the glue where the two pieces are bonded together.

Discussion: Bat Knob

Hi
Before I screw something up I want to get info from someone with some knowledge of the Miken Big Cat bat. After I hit a ball and drop the bat to run to first base the sound of the bat hitting the ground sounds bad. I'm not sure if the knob is loose or what.

So my questions are:
On Miken bats does the Knob screw on the to end of the bat, like the Adidas?
If the knob is loose, how do I fix it?

Discussion: I have changed my mind......

I have seen soooo many guys laugh at others or think it won't happen to them only to get hit and then realize protection is well worth the price!

A face mask pays for itself in just one solid hit to the face.
Much cheaper than the ambulance trip and the hospital costs.
Not to mention A LOT LESS PAIN!!

Discussion: A Question For You BAT GEEKS?

Besides having better bat control, the light bat makes it easier to consistently get the same bat speed time after time with very little variation. I have used a light bat on a bat speed meter and noticed that I can get 10 swings in a row with the speed readings of 76 or 77 mph. I'm not near that consistent with heavier bats.

Discussion: How Many Knob Cuffs??

Are there any rules about having more than one knob cuff on a bat?

Legal?

If so, what is it?

Is there any discussion about changing knob cuff rules in the future?

I am still WAITING for an answer to my question....

IF THE BATS THAT HAVE BEEN SENT OUT WEEKS AGO ARE THE FIRST BATCH BATS, THEN WHAT BAT BATCH NUMBER IS SUNCOAST ABOUT TO SEND OUT?

Discussion: Which Batch Is It?

A few weeks ago I pre-ordered the new Adidas Melee Senior Softball bat. I was told that this would be the "All IMPORTANT" First batch bat that was to be delivered late last month. At this time I have not even received an e-mail of the delivery date, because the bats are supposedly being detained by US Customs. OK, so I understand that.

BUT WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS THERE ARE GUYS THAT HAVE HAD THESE BATS (And even made videos) FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. IF THEY ARE THE "ALL IMPORTANT" FIRST BATCH BATS...

THEN WHAT BATCH IS BEING DETAINED?

2nd Batch?

3rd Batch?

Kid

I think somebody was giving you BS. Combat makes senior softball bats that are 25 ounces.

Maybe SSUSA Staff will come in this thread and set the record straight?

Just Curious

Is it possible that the Adidas Melee just a Reebok Melee with a different paint job?

How can you tell the difference?

Discussion: 2 FLEX or NOT 2 FLEX

Help!

I have read and heard that having a Stiff Bat handle is what is desired in a bat.

On the other hand...

I have read and heard a bat with lots of Flex in the handle is the way to go!
In fact some people will step on the bat handle to give it more flex.

So which is it?

Thanks for any input you may give!

Discussion: Senior Bats and Temperature

If Bat Warmers are as good as some people think....

Then why don't bat manufacturers put on there bats "Do Not Use Below 60 degrees Unless you are using a bat warmer"?

Why don't Miken, Combat, Dudley, DeMarini and all the other manufacturers make and sell bat warmers? Are they that stupid for passing up an opportunity for making more money? Or is it they know bat warmers are just a rip off?
