Nancy, you should have seen Coop argue with the umpires about the clock. The home plate umpire called time, saying finish this inning and then open inning.
Bret said no, we have another 10 minutes. Umpire said we started at 8:20am. We were one player short so I know we wouldn't have started early.
Anyway, he argued for 10 or 15 minutes but didn't convince the tournament director. :)

Usually next year's season starts with the Winter Nationals.
You don't need to do anything, beginning with the Winter Nationals.

Dave, I was playing first and you are correct, it did spin about one foot foul and was called correctly.

Where in Georgia do you live? I believe the senior league in Norcross allows ladies to play.
If you are looking for a tournament team I can't help, sorry.

A 60+ player from here uses one. Most think it's a polo helmet. He uses the helmet and lacrosse shin guards.

Discussion: Shin guards

Playing first base I have taken shots of my right shin four times. I never had the injuries looked at by doctors but now I may think otherwise.
I use baseball shin guards which work very well. I may check out the Riot Shins.
Thanks for the tip

Rainmans, my solution is one pitch!
Games would last about 30 minutes and you get 7 innings.
I would suggest to SSUSA to hold regional and national one pitch tournaments😨 🎆🎆🎆

Dave, I was just wondering the "real" reason/s by those wanting the 1-1 count.
Playing seven innings is a good reason. I don't see that happening much if both teams score a lot of runs.

So, what I your goal?
As a player, what is your goal? Is it to make the game move along at a faster pace?
As a tournament director, what is your goal? Is it to keep on schedule?
I have THE solution but you may not want to hear it.

Discussion: Hottest single piece alloy bats?

I was going to suggest Ritch's Superior but I see you know about them. (I have a niw 32oz)
I remember the EST line had a small plug in the end. That may qualify as an endcap.
In the 70's most all bats didn't have endcaps but then again we used harder balls.
I would suggest you do some "testing" of different vintage bats with the balls you now use.
Good luck!

I've had time to think about my last statement. Let me make a correction.
There are bats that will compare with respect to distance, not durability. :)

Discussion: Evil B.P. 52+ Softballs

I don't hit many Evil ball except in tournaments. For the past year and a half I have hit the NX3s's in bp. The year before that I hit the Evil bp balls (thanks buggs). Last year I would tell everyone that I had 5000 swings on my Dudley 12" el. Now I tell everyone that I have 6000 on that same Dudley. Well, today I finally cracked it. Time to move to my next Dudley, the one with the blue barrel. I don't know of any bat that will compare to that, durability or distance.
