Wagon,
Yes,I was talking to someone from hit men this weekend and most of that is true.I think they might have temporary fencing or something.

Don,
You throw too good to play pitcher.ha!
Bruce, you have a great bunch of guys. You just hit too many home runs.. I enjoy the competition.I can't say I enjoy finishing second yet.
(That's probably a good thing).

Absolutely one of the worst collisions/injuries that I have ever witnessed. Mike;I'm glad that you are recovered/recovering.Praying for Jimmy. When they hit,it sounded like a helmet to helmet football hit-scary.Those were 2 powerful and fast guys!

Bruce&Mike, great seeing you and playing against you againand the whole Hollis crowd.

Good luck in the next couple of weeks.

Discussion: RATINGS WARS

DD- Respectfully this is crap. With the pitiful shape of Senior ball right now;it is only going to get worse.Because there are no 55 Teamsin Major+ ,we have to go and constantly play 50 teams. I don't mind once or so;but we are an older 55 team. We have 8 players that are either 59 or 60;there is a big difference playing some of these 50 year old teams back East. They are young ,fast ,and strong. There is a difference.I don't care if I have to play 55 Major + or 55 Major.I just want to play 55 yr old teams. So see you,I'll play in another sanction where I can do that. Haven't you heard ? The Senior Summit has fallen apart according to RB Thomas.

Donnie,
Last year the Major+ 60 and I do believe 55's were at the new Naples Facility. If they are playing there you could stay right on the Interstate75 near the airport. Good luck in trying to find the fields listings.

Discussion: TECH' INFOR on COMPOSITE BATS & REACTION TIME.

I know the person whom originated this research. He is a good guy and a NASA engineer ;however he was a close personal friend of Ray DeMarini and was paid by him and put on clinics with ALL DeMarini equipment. That is why there is no comparisons to Metal bats. He himself was a very good Major/A young player who could hit a B52 about 425 ft. So he was/is always against composites.Called them cheater bats.

Just my input on this.

Discussion: Miken Ultra II, the NEW Miken Ultra II Advanced and the Altering of Bats:

I have used the Rip-it Sr elite and this bat is the real deal. Everybody that has used it agrees,It is HOT righyt out of the wrapper and needs no break -in.One of our Sr 55's was hitting the ball 345 ft right out of the wrapper. I hit it,it is very balanced. They only make 26 oz and 28 oz ,but my 28 swang like my 27 Freak. These guys are committed to making good bats and he said they were good to 38 degrees. Watch for the ASA legal model in 2 weeks.

Discussion: Florida Blitz 1st baseman passes.

He was the guy who always "stuck out" on this team and also any team he played on.He was a BIG guy;not fat just big. He was a slick fielder at first and hit some nasty shots my way.
He had a sarcastic type infectuous humor with him and will be sorely missed. He seemed to be another of those 'nice guys' we play aginst in this game.
I think he played at one time for Anglers Super Store didn't he?
Maybe just last year.

Donnie,
BigMoney here in Fla.We(33 1/2) had to play in the platinum division with all the "big boys".They put the Major+ and Major together with the intention of having everyone play the brackets and then 4 worst records were Major and 3 best Major+;so it kinda ended up like that except RL Bondy sandbagged so bad that they made them play up with an 0 and3 record.Fla team was top seed and waited for winner of Thermco /Bondy game. After couple of tough games;Thermco won title.I don't think Bondy won a game.
We finished second to Murphy's Law in 55 Major division. They are a great bunch of guys for Virginians!!!LOLAt least we brought the trophies home to the north.
Clatters team won the 60's Major+ in a couple of hard fought games with Human Kinectics.
See you in the spring

Lecak,
Yes,we were playing Major 55.You were allowed to hit 7 and then they were 1 up or walks. The other teams were frustrated with us because we could not catch them and go one up.In 3 double elimination games we had 19,17,10 home runs hit against us. This type of play there is no defense. In the 55 major + the pitcher wasn't protected-they still hit the middle.Jay Smith got his finger broken by a ball up tyhe middle and Davey Reed got knocked out of the game by a line drive. This ain't softball guys.Let's get back to 1.20 and let the HR hitters hit em and turn a couple of double plays with our defense.

No Ultra II's. 1.20 bat rules.That should be enough for anyone;plus you have to be able to play defense.Keep HR's at unmimited Major+;Major- 5;AAA -3;
AA-1.
We just got back from Vegas and using the U2 in Major;we were out homered in Major 46 to 10 in three games. Hey guys;this ain't softball.Where does defense come in when 19 balls are hit out against you???.
Need to be changes.

Discussion: How many Worlds can 1 team win before having to move up to the next highest division

I agree that evryone has their own opinion in this and am not really sure what right is. I think it is wrong for these teams to change their name every year and try to "sandbag" at a lower level. This should be stopped.Having said this, let me say that there are teams that are truly major, truly AAA,truly AA;I'm not saying that this is always the case, but in some instances this is true. What distinguishes between Major and Major+?;there is no way my major team can compete power for power with the likes of Turn2/Rekco. 9 home runs a game?how about 9 for 2 tourneys.
I don't know the answers, but I do know this has broken up teams.I think each team should be considered on a year to year basis based on rosters and players.I know you can go try to get dropped down,I just don't like playing that way or wasting a good sponsor's money.
Just my nickel's worth.

Discussion: Ages for winternationals

Hey guys(gals),
Please confirm to me that when you go to the winternationals tournament, that you can take players that will be in your team age group the next year.i.e;Winternationals in Fla. in November 2005;you can take a 54 yr old for your 55 team as long as he will be 55 in 2006.I was always told this;is it true?

Thanks
Dave
