Discussion: Playing without an ACL ligament

I just had knee surgery to repair a severe meniscus tear but my completely torn ACL could not be repaired due to arthritis in the knee. My Doctor says I should be able to continue to play and probably without a brace. I am some what skeptical despite positive finding on the internet.
A big part of my game is my speed not only on bases but in the outfield.

Anyone playing without an ACL intact? Wearing a brace? Any advise?
Thanks

Discussion: NSA (52/275) and ASA (52/300) Ball Review

Our neighborhood league is thinking of switching to the 52/30 balls we use ASA bats. Most of the players are older or non-tournament type players. We currently use 44/375 balls. We play on a field with 250 ft fence all the way around. There are no more than 6-10 players capable of hitting the ball out. All are worried about loosing pop and not being able to hit the ball out of the in field. My question is it possible that the 52 core combined with the lower compression will actually work in their favor? Kind of like low compression golf balls, We have some ordered to try 1st. any thoughts?
