Discussion: Pitcher hit by line drive

Don was not wearing any safety gear. He is however looking for a Motorcycle chest protecter to wear when pitching. We played in Manassas the following weekend and he wore a expanding wrap around his torso area. The ball hit him in the stomach area below the rib cage. One of our other pitchers was hit in the ankle in Manassas this past weekend. It was very sore and swollen but xrays showed nothing broken.

The pitcher for Code Electrics name is Don Rich. He was evaluated by EMS personel at the complex and he chose to be released. I talked to him yesterday and he said the area is a little tender to the touch. He is going to play next weekend in Manassas Virginia
