Discussion: Doctored Bat in Seattle?

Let's take this to the next level. Some people just don't get it. They think that using an altered bat is cool. Let's try to make them understand on another level..........Weather you know it or not, if you use an altered bat and you hurt someone, the TD, Association, Manager of the team and that person using and or owner of the altered bat at the time of the injury and the person who altered the bat will in all likelyhood be SUED. The associations know this and should do everything they can to "Stop Them At The Gate". at least have someone in the know inspect every bat that is to be used before the games begin, and put a mark or sticker on them. With this problem creeping up more and more, the Associations Insurance Policy will not stand behind them with the Associations just telling people in a printed matter"No Altered Bats". I hope this does not fall on deaf ears. What kind of person could get a thrill out of BLASTING on out, with what they know is an altered bat. I for one and I am sure many others get an even GREATER THRILL when we BLAST one out following the rules.

Discussion: Player release form

MOOSE 11:
DABX is correct. Write in the players name and ID number and then wite "Released From Roster", then have the manager sign it, then FAX or mail it to SSUSA, and then verify that they got it. I have done this before and for the player that JC24 is talking about. You do not need to call Terry H. unless you realy want to.

Discussion: Want to go to Seattle

To all respondents:

The point is moot. There are no teams boardering Ohio going to Seattle (this is a must). It's so sad that no teams (midwest and east), other than Chicago Classics are going (good luck guys). The TD (SSUSA) can OK a 50 AA player to play 50 AAA and up. A team that has lost players, can make a request to replace with additional players (1 or 2). As for the statement that I would place a team in a "Forfeit Situation" through my actions, is just stupid on your part, as when you tried to keep Forest Hickman from playing in Manassas with us with your lies. As for you sir (Jerry Carter/Dayton Legends 50), I will take up this matter with you the next time I see you. Between the player who will protect himself + cost of travel, room and board, the manager that will protect his team and SSUSA that will protect the game, as stated above and in my post, in this case (The World), it could not happen. All I wanted to do is PLAY and Play Fair.

Bill: It was a good year. I got 2 All Worlds this year. Yea, I realy wanted to go with the Silverados, but I guess it was not to be. We are going to the Winter Worlds in Ft. Myers. Keep in touch and good luck. You will like Chicago, if you can figure out the colors (Chicago Blues-Reds-Pinks Etc.), but all good teams.

Discussion: Want to go to Seattle

The Ohio Silverados 50 AA are not going to Seattle to play in the National Championship game and the World (not enough players). We came in 2 firsts, 2 seconds and 1 third. I am a Good Pitcher, Catch, 1st Base and EH. I am 54 years old (will not be 55 till June 07). I bat right handed 700+ w/ back side hitting w/ average speed. Last year in Phoenix, the team I played for, came in second 50 AA. Willing to pay my own way if necessary. I will be willing to play AAA. I live in OHIO. Please respond at this message board or at: OhioSilverado22@AOL.COM

Thank You in advance,

It was nice to meet with you, but maybe next time we will have more time to sit and talk. I hope that you tell that guy in Indy, that he need to make it right by us. Web would like to play there next year....Or not. We will be in Manassas June23-25. Will your guys be there?

Discussion: Columbus Tournament

I was told that Buzz was looking for a release from the Dayton Legends. He is a free agent. Each year starts new, except if he had played in the Winter Nationals in Ft Myers. That is considered the first tournament of the year. He did not play in Ft. Myers with them, so... he can play with anyone that he wants, and does not need a release. He is classified as a AA player. What happened to Larry? The Ohio Silverados is a great group of guys and has a lot of talent. I cannot wait to see you guys in Lansing (and kick your butts...HA HA). We are playing in Manassas on June 23-25. How is Mike and Mack doing? Tell Buzz that he made the right choice for a team, and to pick on you like I would. Call me sometime.

Silver 50:

KY Zepplines 1st
Ohio Silverados 2nd

I think that the KY's will be moved up to AAA. With there win in Manassas last year and this, they are that good.

Did you guys get Buzz?

Discussion: New Players Card

Cheep is not the word that I would use for you.....When everyone keeps talking about the great power of the U2, I kept waiting for you to chime in about using the old Steele Sporting Goods bat.

Breaking News from Green Bay......AJ Hawk (OSU Great/First Round Draft) hurt his back today in practice. Team officals fined him giving your MaMa a piggie back ride.

Lots of love.

I hope that Mike gets his eye taken care of, it's usually quite simple. Mack's back will get better when he no longer has to carry all of you guys.

Again...Lots of love.

Discussion: New Players Card

Dear Michigan Vet:

Let me try to explain this, so that your Pen State/Michigan dumb ass can understand it..........The card that you have says what......EXPIRED.
Have someone with an IQ of 50 or more download from this site, (FORMS) for you, and then fill it out in crayon and have your assisted care nurse mail it for you, with money from your piggie bank. We won the Brickyard AA. Sorry to here about Brian. How is Mike and Mack doing? Cannot wait to see you and the guys in Lansing.Do you know what you call a Pen State player when he gets his papers.....Parolled.

Yours always,

The weather was great, but you have to go to a gas station for a map and water must not have been in the budget.

Bucky;
Still on the bubble.Have gotten some replys, but each were taking way to many players already(16+) for both FL and NV. Not much playing time with that number for a 2 day turn. Maybe something will shake loose this week, if not...see you in the spring.
