Curious as to the amount of players turning 70 this season. Add your name and current team to the list.

Tim: Much thanks again; you are an absolute results machine. If you ever start a Go Fund Me to get paid for all of your work, count me in for an Andrew Jackson.

I have ran more than seven times in a game on many occasions. My first year in senior softball, I played at the Worlds for SoCal Gusto. In the 50AAA Championship game (where I first met Mad Dog), I was used only as a CR, ran seven times and scored seven times, which has to at least tie the record. I have been thrown out at all four bases in the same game on three different occasions which, unfortunately, might also be a record.

65 major:
1. Arizona Ancient
2. Over The Edge
3. Top Gun Mavericks
4. San Antonio Silver Streaks
Good fields, nice weather (except Tuesday), decent umps. Best team won.

Discussion: Is it a catch?

When I was umping in So Cal, the player had to voluntarily release the ball from his glove in order to be ruled a legal catch. In your scenario, I would call it a live ball/ no catch.

Andy, this is Dennis, your old teammate from Double Edge. This is the second time that someone has taken a shot at OTE. It seems like we should change our name to the Lord Voldemorts because no one wants to speak our name. Tell me, why would a Major player even care what is going on at the AAA level. Wouldn't your time be better spent trying to get a good Major team bumped up to Major Pllus?
BTW, the last time we had to play Major teams, we played them straight up and I fully expect our management to do the same this weekend. I am actually stoked that our three games Saturday are against two Majors and a Major Plus. Maybe on Monday I will agree with you, but all of that is secondary to the joy of playing softball.

Everything is good, Bobby. I survived a heart attack in January, but I'm back, 25 pounds lighter and playing for OTE. Teaching is too easy a job to quit so there is no reason to retire yet. Hope to see you in Vegas this year.

Thanks for the laugh, Fred. It's nice to know that a sense of humor is not one of the things a player loses with age.

As a soon to be 67 year all who spends way too much time looking for my car at the mall, do guys your age actually remember what position they play?

Discussion: Tanel cleats

Ended up with a pair of New Balance P4040 cleats. The word was that they run a little small so I ordered a half size bigger. I like them. They are light and have a nice grip for guys that can still run. Thanks for all of your advice.

Thanks for the tip Titan, but they only have four sizes available and no 91/2.

Thanks for the web address, but it looks like a close out. No medium size shoes left at all. What other brand shoes would you guys recommend?

My Tanel RevD cleats are wearing out and I am having a heckova time finding replacements. Is Tanel still in business? Does anyone have any suggestions? Players who use courtesy runners need not reply :). My top concerns are comfort and durability. Thanks for any help.

Swing is 100% correct. If the runner on second scored then the game is over. If the runner on second joined the dogpile before time was called, then grab your gloves boys, we are talking extra innings.

I love playing at BLD. When they open my bag to check it, the first thing they see is a couple of pairs of dirty socks and a used jockstrap or two. No one has ever checked any farther.

Tim: I thought your first point was excellent and did not need addressing. It was your cheap shot at a teacher that I was commenting on. It's all good though. We are both where we want to be.
