I have only used the 2pc 26EL ... the only bats I saw at the demo were all two piece therefore I got a few of them, I dont think there will be a significant difference between 1pc and 2pc except for a little more forgiveness with the 2pc, I am waiting on the bats to hit the stores as I wanna try the 1pc also but from what I hear they were supposed to be avail by now (as of 3/15)...Ronni Salcedo is the Easton Senior Rep and plays with Somerville and JK INC/Easton he may be able to get you more info on the availability for thise of you who know him...????

yes I am and I have to admit the The Elder was not really one of the better bats around at the time it came out, I have been swinging Easton bats for quite some time and ill admit I was biased and excited that Easton was actually gonna be making senior bats (The Elder) so if you were willing to put in a couple hundred swings on it was ok, 500-600 swings and it became playable, and it was what worked for me at the time. However the Empire bats are MUCH different and I think over the next several weeks you will find there will be a very different response from players who are swinging the Empire models, the Adidas Melee's have been my gamer of choice til now, and I do still really like the Adidas bats, even though I'm not a big fan of the 13.5" barrel on the Empire bats I am slowly but surely moving from the Adidas to the Empire as I get more swings with them, ive only had the Empires for a month or so and I would encourage people to swing them or get to a Demo, no more performance claims or hype or google earth measurements of incredible distances, but I will say they are just as good as any other manufacturers bats that are out right now ...just my somewhat more mature but humble opinion

HI all I'm wondering how may of you SSUSA players besides MNBALL that I have spoken with have had the chance to swing the new Easton Empire Senior bats this year, I got myself several bats at a Demo in Vegas and I have to say that the new Empire Senior bats are most impressive, heads and tails above the last bat they put out in 2014? I think which was "The Elder".... so with the Spring Worlds tourney in ST George and Mesquite this weekend I'm looking for feedback, I would love to hear from any of you that have had the chance to swing or demo the bat, what your opinion is of the new bats, good bad or other, the 1pc or 2pc the balanced or the end loaded models ... looking forward to swinging mine in game play and see how they stack up to my gamer bats from last year which is the Adidas Melee end load from 2016-17... thanks and looking forward to hearing from you guys...

Discussion: Today's "super" bats

i will have to disagree on he 52/300 ball being safer for players and doing less damage when hit by it, cant post pics here but i assure you like MNBALL says they are very unpredictable on the infield, 2nd or 3rd bounce is anybodies guess, and i have the bruises (and pics) to prove it ... i got drilled in the leg (knee area) at 3B by a 52/300 ASA ball last sept in league and i still have discoloration and a very small lump on my leg, so i do not like the 52/300 ball for that reason ... no matter where you play or what league your in and whatever ball you are using you should protect yourself at all times, we seem to get complacent that we wont get hurt but eventually we will, .... as far as HOT bats go, well i don't think there seems to be a good alternative yet, but i do agree that even Senior bats should be tested .... i play league with/against guys that routinely brag that they know their bats are not legal as far as compression goes but use them anyway because they can and there are no rules for testing bats that are in place for any league I've probably EVER played in ... so unless you are playing in a big tourney and one of the last 4 teams standing no one cares to test bats, seems like an inconvenience to the directors.... just my .02$

i touched base w Kenny Reynolds who basically runs all the tourneys in Co Spgs including the turfed "SKYVIEW COMPLEX" and he said that the weekend of AUG 9,10,11,12th would be avail next year and with 6 TURF fields and access to more fields in other parts of town he's sure he could make it work, so if you are serious about pursuing this idea he has told me to pass along his number

So no USSSA bats allowed anymore .. Even w the 2012 USSSA thumbprint which is clearly marked 1.20 BPF ..?? ... Not trying to be dumb or thick headed but it seems these should be within SSUSA guidelines ..??

Discussion: ASA & USSSA BATS

I may be wrong in saying this but last year I was using ASA and USSSA bats in SSUSA and never had any issues or problems ...this year and specifically this last weekend I was told by the director after my third game I could not use these bats unless they were on the approved bat list provided by SSUSA ... I ended up using a teammates senior bat and put my others away, Can I get some input and help or clarification on the bat rules please ...

Thanks
