Discussion: Runs for lower ranking teams

I agree with PMR131 it's a "double penalty" to give up runs and play with the Homerun limit of the the lower rated team. It should be ....play straight up with the lower rated teams Homerun limit or if they take the runs the Homerun limit of the higher rated team!!! Just my 2 cents lol

Alan, Rick Seifman is our state director and runs most our tournaments in Arizona his number is (623)776-3525. That would be great if your staff could come. I always like to improve my game and take my game to the next level. I'm sure there are a lot of Senior Players in Arizona that would benefit from your training camp. Thanks so much Alan your doing great things!

Winter Training Camp in Phoenix would be great Allen if you could set that up! We basically play year round in Arizona. A lot of teams play in Phoenix from October to April then it starts to get to hot.

Discussion: Is it a strike if ball hits front edge of strike mat and also kicks up some dirt?

I wish SSUSA would go to a 1 inch wood strike mat because when the ball hits the wood there leaves no question that its a strike!!! It makes that sound or it will change direction if it hits the edge. Unlike the flat rubber strike mat you don't know if it hit the dirt or the mat when it is close to the edge.

Discussion: New 50 Major's team in Arizona looking for players for the 2017 Season

AZsoftball00... I don't understand what your problem is but this site is for promoting our great Sport of Senior Softball in a good light.
As far as AOS and 55 is concern they are a class act. I was part of a great organization for 1 year and leaned most importantly to be a good team mate and keep a positive attitude regardless of the outcome. Every team has it's up's and down's but we learn from them an move on and that what make's a great TEAM.

Thanks Jeff and Tommy, I wish all of AOS the best in the future and I look forward of competing against you guys in 2017 Season.

Discussion: SCREENS IN TOURNAMENTS

If the screen is used to protect the pitcher then the batter should not be penalized for hitting the screen, It should be called a no pitch and continue with the same count. Also maybe back the pitching mound another ten feet so the pitcher has more time to react to the balls coming up the middle.

I understand "priority batting order" but it's like getting box scores 2 or 3 weeks after that fact or later.

It has been 2 weeks since 50 Worlds and the tournament brackets results still not updated yet? Is it really that hard to do?

Discussion: Why is this rule not enforced??

I'm in all for the batter box rules being enforced, but the batter box is to small it needs to be 8 ft long and 4 feet wide. I'm 6'3" and 230 lbs and I feel like I'm in little league when I step in the batters box. Also my reach is longer than most of the seniors I play with....so make it bigger!!!!.. Lol.. I'm one of those players who like run out the lines because it's just to small!!!

Discussion: Senior Bats and Temperature

I heard it's not so much the bat being cold, it's the ball getting cold that breaks the bat. Temperatures below 60 degrees is a risk thats for sure. Not just senior bats but all bats. IMO.

For your team to play in 55 and 50 World Touranments, does your team have to play in 55 and 50 world qualifier?
