I was the sponsor and managed the team also played infield, but mostly pitched. I also played for TNT Harford County 55's and Roadhouse Blues 50's - 55's -60's.and Cheasapeke Gray Bat Avg. between .650 and .750 can run not that slow and can shut down the middle. been playing for the last 40 yrs. We won some good tournaments it's sad to have to close up the team a lot of great guys. Who cares about prizes and what they make on a tournament they run it make money so what that's their job all I want to do is play. If you don't like it play somewhere else they are not making you play in there tournaments. Do you go to work and tell the people that run the company they made to much money this month so I need a bigger paycheck. I have a idea everyone that plays in a tournament will get a participation trophy just like LITTLE LEAGUE, then everyone will be happy. Look at are age we should all be happy that we can still play the game that we love I know I am with or without prizes. |

We play a 3 inning game on Friday till the DPW of LOUDON came and shut down the fields they said it was to dangerous to play, This was at Potomac lake complex. I was pitching my foot came out of my spikes because of the suction from all the mud I was ankle deep. Look this tournament should have been cancelled from the get go.We were told Friday a wash out be there at 8 am sat ready to play got a call at 6;30 am told pushed back 4 hrs.got another call at 8.00 am telling me that no games will be played on Saturday washed out told me to be ready at 8.00am sunday best of 3 with the only team in our bracket said are you sure it going to rain they told me we will get them in call sunday morning at 630 am from the director telling me tourney cancelled no games now we would have went home because we knew it was not going to happen no matter how much you wish it did.They could have save the players lots of money players could have saved vacation days for another tournament instead of wasting them sitting in a hotel. SO HERE IS MY QUESTION they said no refund after deadline I didn't receive the product I paid for so I should get a refund on the entry fees also the SSUSA WEBSITE READS UNDER TOURNAMENT FORMAT---- FIVE GAMES MINIMUM SCHEDULED WITH ROUND ROBIN INTO DOUBLE ELIMINATION OR ----THREE GAME [GUARANTEE] I HAVE NOT GOTTEN EITHER SO THEY DID NOT DELIVER |

I still play-50-and 55 AAA, in the SSUSA, ISSA, SPA, and ASA. Play infield but mostly pitch. Played for road house blues, Harvard county and Lynch Construction. Play with the young guys during the week. Still got some speed and a good bat. I am still playing 55 AAA with Lynch, but looking to move up to 60's I live in PA. Have current SSUSA card. Some people have to drive 5 or more hours and don't know if they should leave on Friday or Saturday. They don't want to pay for a hotel room that they might not need. Thanks |
