| July 22, 2015 3SMITTY3 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Western National Championships - 40 Major Plus So I am looking at the teams signed up for Western National Championships on August 8-9 and to my disappointment I only see a total of (3) 40 Major Plus teams including our team. When looking at all of the other teams from the No Cal area, I counted 5 additional 40 Major Plus teams that are no further than 1 hour 45 minutes away from Elk Grove where we will be playing. Such a shame to see that we are not getting the participation in SSUSA that we so deserve. Our team, KRAZE, will be traveling from Orange County, CA to participate in this event (roughly 6-7 hour drive) and we will be faced with a 3 team tourney. I guess that I am just venting because we could be playing a local one day tourney that weekend with at least 10 teams participating for a fraction of the cost. We are not bailing out......but this is a shameful display of dedication to the teams that truly love this game and enjoy the highest level of competition. In my humble opinion, we should eliminate the Major Plus division in 40's only and place everyone at the same level. The competition is so good at Major level anyway and there should not be a divide when the total number of teams in a particular division are so badly compromised. Somebody has to speak up here.......Geez!!!!! |

I don't know much about Sunset Park except for what I could find on yelp.....which wasn't much! In all reality, just give my team any field to play on because we just love to play the game!!!!! |
