DD that four word rule change you suggest makes no sense to me.

If player A is a Sub. and has not played but is on the lineup card so as to make him/her available as a CR and runs for player B as a CR, and scores, then subsequently and in the same inning player C gets hurt and is unable to run why would player A who was legally substituted in, not be able to run for self?

Discussion: major plus

The M+ issues as stated in this thread all have merit and have been around a long time and will probably be as long as there are teams that dominate.

Here’s a link to a thread with a similar topic from 2015. https://seniorsoftball.com/?messageboard&viewby_thread=122883&message_topic_id=misc&keywordsfound=major+plus+problems

Our team unfortunately has not been able to play ball in the US since 2019 due to COVID / border closures but having played at M+ I can submit my humble assessment for whatever it’s worth:

Most of the proposed solutions do not consider players and or teams that come from sparsely populated regions. Breaking up M+ teams or dispersing those players onto other M teams might be a worthy proposition but have their own inherent setbacks such as playing with friends as one example. Also, sparsely populated regions might not have access to M+ players and/or that the travel and distance involved for adding M+ players are not always realistic.

It seems to me that one or two M+ teams already have a solution that "sort of" works – if overpowering a division play down an age group straight up against your competition. That 5-years is a good equalizer.

Discussion: 70 Major Plus Players Needed

Enviro-Vac have many of their core players turning 70 in 2019 and have formed a new team that will be playing 70-Major Plus.
We have room to add two players to the roster from west of the Mississippi.

Enviro-Vac teams are fully sponsored and have a 37-year history as a competitive club. Our 70 roster is comprised of players from WA State and BC.

Interested? Text Jim @ 604-789-7690 for more information.

There are some rather interesting changes.

Am I interpreting 13.1 (1) A correctly in that our M+ team(s) can now add four players from out of region to the roster?

Twilight is a good ball player and team-mate. He will help. Our 65 team is not going this year. He lives in Phoenix for a while during the Winter so may qualify as a Snowbird. I don't know the Snowbird requirements.

Hi Kelly, I know a few players and will let them know you need a player.

Region: You can add a player from any Province in Western Canada or State Bordering (if you know any).

Good luck.
