Oct. 17, 2024 ace42850 | Topic: Teams looking for players Discussion: Oregon Crabs moving to 75 Time has come for the Oregon Crabs to move up the age ladder to 75 Major. We play 4-8 tournaments, based on team interest. Unfortunately we have to leave some of our younger friends behind for awhile. We are looking for a couple of new friends to help us get younger again. Probably could consider some 74 year olds, as we are allowed up to 4. Primarily need quality outfielders, maybe could use a 3rd baseman that could do both. If you have any interest please contact by email at ace42850@hotmail.com. Provide any description that would show how you would fit in with a nice group of guys who want to grow old and play softball together. Please leave your phone number, so we may contact if needed. I can try to answer any questions you may have. Thanks for your consideration. |
Sept. 12, 2024 ace42850 | Topic: Teams looking for players Discussion: Looking for players Our team is under the emergency pick up rule. We are a 70 AAA classification, and yes our session 2 tournament starts Monday. Very little notice, but I’m taking a shot in the dark. We can pick up 2 more 70 AAA players not currently going to Las Vegas. Also we are allowed to pick 3 75 AAA players not currently attending. We only need 1, maybe 2, of either to be solid. We are an Oregon team, so must border on the state. If you can make it, which will be tough, I must get someone added ASAP. If willing, and available, email me with your phone number. My email is ace42850@hotmail.com. We do have a pretty solid fun group of guys. |

Dec. 19, 2017 ace42850 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: survey A great way to speed up the game is to greatly reduce walks, walks are boring, but the team that gets the most walks has distinct advantage, so if you want your team to win, you should take the walk. This can be addressed by increasing the mat size. The batter is more aggressive since the chance of walking is significantly decreased. The fewer the walks the better the game for all. |
