Good catch John - I notice that today too - I did send text yesterday to find out no Friday games but we are a week away and no idea when we are playing or what field.

BLD is surprising, my team has been called out many times for being out of the box normally they make you have both feet in. Nancy that is why I like you doing our games - you run a tight ship :)

My favorite was a guy up his team losing by one with a couple on with two outs full count and when the ball is pitched someone from behind the Fence /catcher from the other team yells illegal - the guy doesn't swing called third game over.

Perl,

Differce is ISSA TOC - any team can go even if you didn't qualify or win anything while SSUSA the Origianl TOC only TOC champs can go not second place or pay your money and go. ISSA money grab / SSUSA you have to earn it.

Discussion: Just heard this about BLD

Yes, there this past weekend - they were bought by a new group and they will update the park including the fields. I thought it was interested that fields that the MLB currently play on like Wrigley field are now called by the city name like Chicago and the took down the details of the field like no fans in the bleachers at Wrigley and the Scoreboard has been painted over but still have the vines - I was told MLB wanted compensation so they were told to remove. Fields like Crosby that are no longer MLB fields have their detail.

Discussion: Session 1 - World Series Recap

Just got back from the World Series in Vegas and here is my feedback

1. Tournament Directors did a great job at the two sites I was at (BLD & Sunset)
2. Umpires were the best I have seen there in years - they were all knowledgeable and worked hard on the fields
3. The ball was fine - held up throughout the weekend a lot better than some of the other Association's ball.

Here is what could use some help
1. Updating scores - know it is brought up every year but still don't understand - take a picture at the end of the day of the brackets and post - some Directors have done in past years - this year nothing except a partial update on the Saturday of some of the age groups.
2. No concession stands at Sunset or Dessert Breeze - how does a park have a large tournament and not want to staff to sell concessions. At Sunset we had a food truck in the parking lot, a ice cream cart in the park, and guy and his kids selling slices of pizza for $10. BLD of course had theirs going - $17.50 for a pitcher of beer - ouch.

Overall, we made it to Sunday and had a great time - thanks to all the hard work that Dave and his team put in to run it.

So I can have the same players on the 55 team also on the 50 team with other players and they could play both even in the same tournament?

Question - Last year the team was 50 AAA - this year there are two teams ran by the same guy 50 AAA & 55 AAA as the older players go to the 55 team with the same name. Here is the question - if on a weekend that the 50 AAA team is short and say 4 guys form the 55 team go and sub for 50 team - do they get rated as a 50 AAA player where only 3 can go back to the 55 team?

thanks

Discussion: BRICKYARD

Dave - yes, thanks for the correction - many of the SSUSA tournaments in the Midwest is you register with your office and send the tournament director a message you have signed up but pay the tournament director at the site - how do you get $100 credit for those events like in our case which we already paid - Quad City, Iowa Open, ISA World Series. Milwaukee Classic?

Discussion: BRICKYARD

Last time attending the Brickyard and rethinking the remainder of our schedule with SSUSA. Saturday all 6 fields full from 7:30 start to 10:30 last start - any issues no way to catch up so for the 7:30 games most started after 8 due to sign in and the long line coming in to pay $5 to enter after you made it thru the mine field - I am sure some will need new front ends by the time they left. Nothing you can do about weather but infields were hard as a rock and outfields not mowed with pot holes out there before then. Lost our Right fielder going for ball in the second inning of our first game. Pulled hamstring and dislocated knee hitting a hole in the grass. Concession stand had two people not sure what they were doing but stood in line forever for anything all day long never had even hot dogs ready.

So when they called it after the 6:00 which started after 7 you knew it was the end since most hadn't started brackets yet, how would they get all those games in on Sunday. The final slap was only playing 2 seeding games only refund is $100 credit if you make and go to the TOC - brutal.

Only bright spot was Nancy's hard work there - thanks Nancy always great to see you.
