Discussion: Starting A New Team 2017

Hello All,

Just wondering who I contact if I start a new team next year. Are there forms that I need to fill out, is there a registration fee to join an association? Just wonder who I contact to begin.

Thanks if you can point me in the right direction.

Curt - really - I guess you weren't told that if you didn't play in rain with puddles that you would forfeit. I guess you didn't have the tournament director ump one of your games and apparently not like one of the guys on your team and tell the opposing catcher after he walked that he should of struck the MF out. Also, the nice ump missing some teeth that threaten to throw anyone out of the game if they said anything to him. The same ump on Sunday during a game on a ball that was hit over an outfielders head and wedged itself under the fence as the fielder 30 feet away raised his arms to signal ball stuck, the ump stopped the game and walked from behind home plate out to centerfield 320 feet away to look at the ball and then call it a homerun causing the fielder to lose it and get thrown out? Not to mention the team in the field was losing 20 to 3 at that point and the director came out and over turned it to a double. Yeah very professional. Won't be back there..

Hello Players,

Just wanted to throw an early message out there for next year that Big Hurt Softball is going to have a team play in 50 AAA - some of us that are currently playing are on teams
that will move to 55 next year so we are starting a new team. We are out of the Northwest Suburbs so if you are in the same boat or looking for something new send me some contact info and I will keep you informed. We will play in the following tournaments - Indy, Milwaukee, Quad City, Grand Rapids, Elgin, Lansing, & Vegas.

Thanks,

Dancer, protecting the plate with 2 strikes? Are you expecting a fastball at 95?? It is slow pitch softball, you should be able to hit it anywhere you want. You are using a senior bat and slow fielders and have to hit up the middle - comical

Who was the Director from the East Coast that made the tournament proceed when I heard the complex wanted to cancel? I had two players drive 4 hours look at the mess on Saturday and then say they weren't going to play and went back home. We will not be back to Indy in the future, last year was nice most years it is a mess. Hope that injured player recovers quickly but of the sounds of it 18 months - it is a shame.
